Warning! New FP Limits for Passholders with Multiple Stays - NOT Split Stays: READ Post #484

And no, after I used up some to drop below 7, my window did not pop open for those May stays.
This is most disconcerting. Once the window doesn’t open, dropping below 7 doesn’t trigger it either. I’ll reconfirm in a couple of days.

I am a new AP holder. We are going to Disney for 3 weeks in July. We will be staying onsite 7/4-7/6, off-site 7/7-7/19, and onsite again 7/19-7/25. I think I can make my onsite stay FPs at 60 days out for each, but will I be able to make any FP selections at all for the off-site stay part of the trip?

Same here.

Are the FPs he booked for you modifiable?

So, it’s definitely not a glitch, nor an issue with just SOG/DS hotels. I can definitely see my May 24 BWI reservation on MDE and the CM confirmed it all looked good and everything was linked. You are now the third APer (along with me and Bookbabe26) with only onsite stays whose window has not opened.

I am today holding 7 days of FPs that I booked. After I use tomorrow’s FPs, I’ll have 6. Do you think my window will finally open? Or will it remain close until 30 days? Or will I need to go to the end of this trip?
No my fast passes are not modifiable. At this point with all the misinformation I’m just happy I have fast passes. I’ll just call AP services if I need to modify.

Do you have any other stays between now and then? Not understanding why the period is not opening up for some people
I am currently at Disney now. My next trip is in 60 days. I’m not sure why I am unable to see my May 31-June 8 reservation. I also have another trip July 4th week. The CM I talked to told me if I am unable to book fast passes for that trip to just call and they will book my fast passes for me. So, evidently Ap’s can book fast passes for up to 14 days with a resort reservation.

What is the number in case you need I need them on Saturday? I only have a voucher, so I have nothing with the number on it to refer to.

Ya, APs with resort stays are supposed to have the same on-site benefits as those with normal reservations (so booking at 60 days out for length of the stay up to 14 days) and multiple stays within 60 days are not supposed to be "penalized". However, as is evidenced by this thread the system is having issues with multiple stays within 60 days.

As it stands right now, if I were you, I would make 3 days on May 5 for the first on site. Then on May 19 make as many as you can for the second on site. You *might* be able to make all 7 of them, holding 10 days of fp since you exceed 7 while on that stay. BUT you might only be able to make through 7/22. If that's the case, call the AP hotline and see if they will help. Who knows at this point? Alternatively, on 5/19 you could work backwards from your second onsite stay and increase your chances of harder to get ones. (Start at 7/25 and see how many days you can get.) For the 11 days of off site, I think you will just have to make them one at a time. I can't see a way around that. Unless, they change the rules of how they do AP FP.

Someone else might have a better idea. Things are very fluid right now and rules are constantly shifting. I still hope it will move to a more favorable passholder place.

Hopefully by the time DisMom95 books for the July trips they will have this worked out. I don't think it is a passholder "rule", I think it is an IT glitch. They closed the loophole of the rolling 60 day AP fastpasses when you had at least one stay beyond 60 days, but in doing so they messed something up. Again, just my honest opinion.

Yes, I really hope it is being resolved. The glitches to fix one thing seem to toggle something else. I enjoyed my rolling window without even realizing it wasn't a thing until it went away.

Part of DisMom95's issue will be the 7 day limit, which I hope will be addressed when things are changed.

And the 7 day limit seems to only be affecting people when they have multiple short stays. I've asked a couple other places and people with longer stays (say like 10 days) in May were able to book all 10 at once. I should find out in 2 weeks if it will allow booking 14 days for June as luckily that window opens the day after we get back from a short April stay.

Ugh! I don’t think you’ll be able to make FPs at all for your offsite stay because you’ll already have more than 7 days with your onsite. I would try to make your onsite stay FPs at 60 days (call tech support if you can’t). At least you’ll have some good FPs. Or wait to 30 days and make your offsite FPs and then as you go through them book FPs for your last week.

I called tech support 407-939-4357. Good luck!

I was able to make 9 days of FP with my longer onsite stay, so I think you’ll be fine.

Disney closed the rolling window for every onsite stay. The window rolled for every onsite guest, regular or AP, until they actually checked out of their onsite stay.

It’s that actual ‘checkout’ coding info that seems to be messing up AP booking. The hard close of the rolling window is somehow kept closed until the AP actually checks out of their initial reservation.

Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense from a bug perspective, hopefully / obviously not the way they intended it.

My window for my full May trip opened up the day after I got home from my end-of-March trip (might've actually opened the day I checked out, but I didn't look that day). It was completely blocked before that.

I have an email out to guest services, and hope to speak with them soon. The whole thing is confusing and time-consuming.

Thanks for the info. I hope Guest Services can get IT to fix this. While it is nice that AP support will book the FP for us I don't like the idea of having FPs being unmodifiable.

Talked to DSS today, since my May stay is CL. They claim the same as the IT folks, that the AP 7 day limit applies even to onsite stays, and that the reason May is now greyed out is because I have 7 days of FP, 4 in April and 3 in May. More days for May will supposedly open up once I’ve used some April ones.

I’ve expressed my displeasure. Disney really seems to be suggesting that we should go to Disney less, even if we’re staying onsite.

Has anyone actually booked FP for a 8+ day onsite stay since the changes a week or so ago? I’m still worried that it’s not just the multiple short stays within 60 days that are a problem, and that longer stays are impacted too.

How long is your May trip?

I asked the question in a FB group and a passholder said that on Saturday she was able to book 12 days worth.

I don’t know if this s relevant or not . . .i have ten days of FP booked for a stay at Pop starting mid May. No problems booking the FP and actually modified a couple of them today. I am popping over to Epcot tomorrow because I want to pick up the passholder magnet, and I was able to make FP for tomorrow as well, so that is 11 total days of FP. I am a Florida resident with a platinum pass and more than 30 days out from my stay. I was a little concerned that I wouldn’t be able to do either after reading this thread. I guess I will have to wait and see if the FP work tomorrow :flower1:
