Help. I'm here now. Won't give me housekeeping $ because of TA

Hi. Am at my resort now. I had two separate reservations for a two day stay that changed into an additional three days. My TA made the reservation for the three days for me, and I added on the front two days separately. They were able to make it work so I didn't have to change rooms, so that's good.

HOWEVER...They gave me a $10 gift card because I wasn't getting housekeeping on the first two days....BUT they won't give me any gift cards for the remaining days because they said they were "discounted" rooms. Well, yes, my TA got me discounted rooms, but what difference should that make????

Sorry. let me clarify. I am here for five nights. On a two day reservation and then an additional three day reservation immediately following for a total of five nights.

You could ask to speak to a manager but my guess is when you book at a discount they don’t give you the added discount of not using mousekeeping. Did you ask why discounted rooms don’t also get the gift cards?

First, You need to correct your title. It is incorrect and misleading. You do not qualify for the additional gift card money, it is not because of a TA.
A discounted room is not eligible for the program. Period.

Never read anywhere that a discounted room is not eligible for the non-housekeeping option. By the way, I had that in my title because I wanted to highlight the fact that my room was booked by a TA. It's in no regard a reflection on the actual agent.

So basically, I should have housekeeping come every day then, right?

Have they changed something recently? I’ve never stayed rack rate and have opted out of mousekeeping in return for $10 per night minus one multiple times. My most recent trip started on Thanksgiving and I received a $90 gift card for 10 nights at FQ. thought that the only restriction was Resort category and it doesn’t apply to Deluxe.

Is it the agency that gets the group rates? That might be why, they are booked differently. My guess is it's the type of discount, not because you used a TA.

My understanding is that the Service My Way on a 3 night stay would only apply for 2 nights, you don't get a credit for your last night since your room needs to be cleaned on the last day. Since you have 2 reservations, not 1 you're not eligible for getting 4 nights credit.
