Kobe Bryant --TMZ Reports He Died In Helicopter Crash

Rapists do not get passes in life just because they supposedly did wonderful things after they violate a woman or because they have children!

You know, you are really a fine one to be calling anyone "classless". Because what you are doing is the very definition. To be thankful that a human being and his daughter are now dead is just evil in of itself.

Unless you are the girl in the case, you have absolutely NO first hand knowledge of what did or did not happen. It ended in "he said/she said". A person in this country is innocent until PROVEN guilty. Or do you not believe in the laws of the USA?

No I believe Kobe Bryant's own words:

Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter.

These are the words of a rapist!

If Kobe was truly so wonderful, could people have this wonderful thoughts about him the day before he died. I am commenting on the hero worship of this disgusting human who is now worm food. It is classless that people are in such awe of him.
Did I ever say he was wonderful? I don't think I did. Perhaps you should take a break from your rage and read it again more carefully.

If you consider sending death threats to be "disagreeing", then sure.

Actually the person was suspended, until the WP's social media policy can be reviewed. There was no conspiracy to hide the accusation against Kobe Bryant as the pp wanted to imply.

No sweetie, its not. Its the words of a man who was then questioning himself and what transpired.

The Washington Post has suspended a reporter who said she received death threats on Twitter after sending a tweet with a link to a 2016 story about the Kobe Bryant rape case.

Well, THAT was eye-opening. To the 10,000 people (literally) who have commented and emailed me with abuse and death threats, please take a moment and read the story — which was written 3+ years ago, and not by me. Any public figure is worth remembering in their totality, even if that public figure is beloved and that totality unsettling,” she wrote.

“That folks are responding with rage & threats toward me (someone who didn’t even write the piece but found it well-reported) speaks volumes about the pressure people come under to stay silent in these case
s,” she added.

Amen!

I'm not your "Sweetie"! What a vile comment. You are now ignored thankfully!

I made a vile comment? Are you serious? You do realize there is a way for him to have assumed consent and she didn't give it? Since she was able to say the word "no" about part of the things that went on, why not on the rest of it? Since there was no trial and both sides did not give their side of the story, we simply do not know.

I am ignored??? Thank you!!!

If one party does not think it's consensual then it is rape. Someone not understanding consent doesn't make it not rape.

He chose not to be tried by buying off his accuser.
If he was truly innocent he could have cleared his name.

She chose not to testify. She chose money over justice for her alleged rape.
You can turn that on him, but she was the one who made that decision.
Now, I guess based on your logic you would say that if she was telling the truth she would have rather have seen the man that raped and physically assault her behind bars.
But I'm sure you wouldn't presume that right?

Her name was leaked to the media and she was getting death threats and harassment. This is why so many victims don't even bother coming forward.

This won't be a popular post.

IIRC, the woman who accused Kobe of rape received death threats. Eventually, she opted for a civil suit instead of prosecution. Why? Given the way people are taking his death, is there any doubt he would never have been found guilty, no matter the evidence? Or that a crazed fan would have killed her? If you're receiving death threats and are pretty sure you'll never gain a conviction because of how beloved your accused rapist is, it isn't unreasonable to ditch the criminal case and go for a civil suit. If you read his statement from when the dust settled, it is cringe inducing. I realize there was never a criminal conviction, so he is not legally guilty. But I also know, given the evidence and his own statement, I always believed he was most likely guilty.

He may have turned his life around and done much good, but when I think of how I'd feel about him if I or my DD had been the woman in question, I can't generate warm fuzzy feelings. I fail to understand the deification we are witnessing. Still, a wife has lost a husband and child, and children have lost a father and sister. That is a tragedy. As it is for all the families involved.

OJ Simpson 2.0. I don't think he would have ever been convicted, no matter how overwhelming the evidence. And getting death threats tends to make you rethink pursuing a case.

She still made the choice not to go to trial.
You stated that Kobe chose not to be tried by paying her off.
Now you are moving the goal posts stating she was threatened and harassed.
It was still her choice, you can't put that on him "choosing to not be tried"
