DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

It's been proven that sleep deprivation has equivalent effects to drug or alcohol impairment. I believe it. I don't really remember getting home from work yesterday. Or much of the first few hours when I woke up (too soon) yesterday either.

Fun times.

:scared1: Glad you made it home safely!

Stay Safe my Friend!

Look after yourself mate.

Thanks, guys. I think we're good now.

Last one standing in Dawa for medicinal Shots of the top shelf Bourbon gets to take Genie home. Last time I did that, my first wish was for him to turn into a beautiful woman. He did that. My second wish was that we had a beautiful meal of Steak, Bacon and Champagne. Again, she granted my wish. And my last wish was that my special guy down there would touch the floor.

So she chopped my legs off.

That escalated quickly.

Morning all. It's still snowing here. Schools cancelled last night, so even if there had not been a flu closure, we would have had the weather closure. And, today is Regional swim meet. Can't delay that as state finals loom around the corner. This will be oldest dd's last swim meet, as she won't qualify for state.

Best wishes to your oldest. Hope she is doing well with the roommates.

Hope your daughter does well.

Thanks. She had a top 3 in her final heat. It wasn't the last heat, so it's not good enough to get State Championship meet. Still, it's nice to know you showed on your last meet.

Morning, boys.
Amazing what a night's... well, any sleep will do.

How do you inspect something with your spleen???
I know you can inspect alcohol with your liver. Is this similar?

Hope you get some sleep. It's more fun with alcohol.

I never said spleen. See Dan's joke for reference.

Top O the Mornin Dads! As if flooding, tornadoes and such wasn't enough, welcome to Nashville?

Good luck with the swim meet and enjoy, you're gonna miss these.

The ground looks like that here as well.

As for the swim meet, no I will never miss those again.

Anyways. That's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one standing in Dawa for medicinal Shots of the top shelf Bourbon gets to take Genie home. London out.

You had me at top shelf shots of bourbon. You lost me at things being chopped off.

Best wishes to your oldest. Hope she is doing well with the roommates.

So far, so good. Although, she is not sharing much information with us. She will feel those bills more next month.

Our kids are wishing the snow was here. We have a tornado warning instead. So there's that.
Good to hear all clear, stay safe
Happy Friday! How we all doing? Good? Lets have a look....

Look after yourself mate.

Well done all around, thanks I needed a laugh

Afternoon/evening fellas! Has anyone been to Milwaukee? Got the idea that it might be nice to fly out to MKE, swill beer for a few days, and maybe take in a Brewer's game when baseball starts again. Not even a Brewer's fan, it just seemed like the thing to do!

That thing that's been in all the papers............
Hey now, you young whipper snapper!
So she chopped my legs off.
:lmao:
I believe it to. Our DS2 had an earache last night and spent most of it screaming. He only ended up sleeping at about 4 in the morning because I went in and laid down on his floor. I feel reasonably awake today, but I have coffee to thank for that
Poor kid.
Poor you! : hug:

I was up late with a screaming kid until 4am too. But that was my trainee at work. I finally sent him on a break and things were quieter then.

Well here I am wrapping up the day. It went better than I thought it was going to, and I took a nice hour and a half break to read over my lunch. Got some stuff done and am looking forward to going out with the family on a snowy drive before starting some packing tonight. It's time to load up the house! Im looking forward to moving .. but not this part, this part sucks

Morning chaps from a relatively overcast London. The boy has his first Camp today with the Cub Scouts, and his first overnighter. We are apparently getting a bit of a battering from a Storm over the next couple of days so my favourite 10k race has been cancelled tomorrow which is the London Winter Run.
It starts in Trafalgar Square, and you run through the proper City and end up in Downing St. Its a really pretty run and nice to see the usual tourist traps from a different perspective. Hey Ho, looks like I'm running round the local park for my medal, as you have to screen shot a strava to get your medal.
We've had a bit of a touch on the vacation front, both the Dodgers and the Angels are playing at home when we are in LA, as are the Lakers and the Clippers (whom I've never seen), so it looks like a couple of sports nights may be on the menu, which is not too shabby.

Good luck mate, you must be excited.
Our DS2 had an earache last night and spent most of it screaming
That sounds rough. Earache is a nightmare in kids, as there's nothing that can quickly take it away, we just used to load em up with Calpol and hope for the best.

Morning, gents.

Got a rare day off, so get to sleep in!

Except the dog decided that 6:30am was time for potty and food.
Oh well... maybe Monday will work out. (I'm anticipating a repeat of this tomorrow.)

Have a good weekend gents.

I took a nice hour and a half break to read over my lunch.
I usually eat my lunch and don't read it. But to each his own!
Im looking forward to moving .. but not this part, this part sucks
I hear you. I've moved a few times and usually the company has done everything... last time I did it myself, but some of the guys from work came over and helped, so that made it a lot easier.

Not too shabby at all!

Morning All,

late coffee morning for me as I spent a couple of hours cleaning the driveway after yesterday's storm. Not a bad morning today though. Not much on tap for the rest of the weekend, just hanging out at the house with the DW.

Have a great Saturday!

Hey guys, just popping in to say hello.
I've been a bit scarce lately.
I went back to work this past Wednesday for another 2 weeks. (No, I sadly did not win the lottery while I was off for a week)
Not much new to report on my end. Other than a few small chores around the house, I spent most of my week off doing pretty much nothing, which was something in itself.
I'm working night shifts the next 2 weeks and I am having a harder time adjusting to sleeping in the daytime than I did the last go around. Not sure why, nothing in particular has changed since the last time. I'm a few weeks older. Maybe that's what it is. Old age.
Hope all is OK around here. I had a quick scan over the 4 pages I missed.
Seems there was a bourbon emergency. How'd that happen?
All the best to those who were not feeling well, or feeling sleepy.
And best of luck to those who need it.

Hey buddy, nice to see ya. Look after yourself other there. Nice to have someone awake on my time zone......

Happy Sunday. Been a relaxing day, other than the cold.

Been to a few of the Cincinnati Reds games. Enjoyed the sun and food and game. My oldest was just amazed how they kept walking food up and down the stadium stairs.

Don't have a dog. I don't need another chore.

Still haven't replaced the bourbon, but the beer had lasted the weekend. Hope you can get back to a routine.

Rainy Monday AM and the rest of the week is looking pretty wet. Thankfully we are high enough to avoid the flooding but it could shut down the schools again. Folks closer to the Tennessee boder are dealing with historic flooding so it will be a rough week in Appalachia.

Is flooding typical this time of year? Glad that you are out of the trouble area.

Well packing is going well! I took DS2 to visit my family almost all Saturday, then we came back on sunday for my dads birthday. In between we packed up most of our stuff, and I moved things to the garage to make it easier on my family who is helping me take most of the boxes and oddly shaped non-box things. Looking forward to more packing tonight and the rest of the week -_-

DW and I are almost done watching His Dark Materials and are moving on to The Witcher next so we are excited about that , too
