I had my Cash reservation returned to my card today. yay. My reservation was for check in this Saturday, May 16th. I got the cancellation email 3 weeks ago and the reservation sat in my MDE til I finally got tired of looking at it and I cancelled it this past Saturday, so took about 5 days for my money to get back into my account.

I did not pay in full, just deposit plus a little bit, and I have not created a new reservation.

Is a lot this out of Disney’s control? Yes. Could this be handled a lot better? Yes. And, yes, it’s a choice to go/not go, but it doesn’t excuse how this is being handled.

Gotta agree here - I still think they open July 4 weekend, but we are going to be cancelling our July 14 trip - need to purchase park tix this week, and not sure if we want the "Dis-lite" experience - not to mention the fact that we are booked from jfk, and not if travel restriction will be lifted

Too many unknowns and really not enjoyable right now
Don't want to sit here every week wondering if our trip will be cancelled

Ugh, there goes my June 5 Yak & Yeti lunch, first in-park ADR to go. :-/

Oh well... lol, refreshing the page and trying to figure out which one has disappeared this time is actually morbidly fascinating...
Mine are gone now too, we had California Grill and La Hacienda de San Angel. I hadn’t gotten around to making other reservations. 😔

Up until now, cancellations have been for the Monday-Sunday week, haven’t they? And last week’s cancellations were through 5/31?
And there’s no rampant speculation on why today’s are only for the Monday through Saturday week and not 6/7 check-ins?

Or am I remembering it all wrong?

Now the only ADR left is my June 7 California Grill brunch. It's just sitting there, taunting me.

I'll cancel it myself soon, since this round of cancellations was through June 6.

I just want to stare at it a bit longer, lol...

My understanding was that they were canceling any checkin through the Saturday of each week. So basically the same way they have been removing park hours from the WDW website.

I think what’s so frustrating is here we are again with no answers & not even a hint. It’s really starting to get old. My husband follows an LSU message board & ppl all over it are complaining about Disney’s lack of transparency too. So this is not just limited to super fans on this board. Ppl are getting very frustrated. I don’t think it would hurt to give at least an idea of what they’re thinking or hoping for now.

I get the sentiment but I don't think they can. If they named a date people after that date would think they are fine and then if they can't hit it then that may upset people even more. Look how quickly everybody latched onto an unannounced June 1 date (and I do agree having the recovery offer for june was a bad idea) and now upset when it wasn't met.

It's mostly been Sunday - Saturday, but last week did go Sunday 24th to Sunday 31st, however when they updated the hours, they did not change Sunday May 31 to closed.

I can tell by my dining reservations which dates are impacted because I had booked several weeks in a row as backups. Right now all dining disappeared through 6/6. My 6/7 and onward dining reservations are still there.

Slightly different situation here, but we were booked through Disney group reservations for a conference at Yacht & Beach Club June 19th. Our hotel reservations were for June 13-18 at Yacht Club. Just received text from conference organizers that they have been cancelled by Disney. Just checked the conference website and Disney just cancelled them for mid-July at Yacht Club also.

Exactly. What are they going to say? There's still a ton of unknown variables so why announce an opening date and then just have to retract a week beforehand because everything went sideways? I think Disney will open before Christmas, but that's just pure speculation, and have no idea when they'll actually open. By leaving it up in the air and allowing people to continue to book, Disney will at least have guests on hand at both parks and resorts whenever they do reopen.

When trying to control crowds I don't think you open on a holiday weekend. In fact I don't think you open on a weekend at all. I think you open on a monday. If I had to guess a date I'd go with Mon, July 6th.

I would expect it will be a while before they allow conferences. I don't think that means the parks won't be open in July necessarily. Conferences have already been tied to clusters so it just makes sense.

I got word a little while ago from my friend, also with a June conference at Yacht (no clue on dates) that hers had been cancelled. She had decided not to go anyway, but she said it’s still sad because her coworker was looking forward to it.
