MIL just went to the casting dept last week and checked on jobs. She reported back to us that CM's pay about $0.50 a pay for insurance. I'm not sure if she got her figures right, so don't quote me, but if that's the case, I'll trade my insurance premium to ANY Disney CM!!

No kidding.....being self-employed, we pay $900 a MONTH for health insurance!! But I still don't want National Health Care, thank you................

Good Morning Everyone!!

I couldn't get back on last night...so I truly went to bed early.

Off to work today...I wonder if anyone there will remember me?

You all were talking about rental cars...Mom and I went to Las Vegas (her annual birthday trip...September) on Spetember 17, 2001....just a week after 9-11

We got (no kidding) the last rental car at National. People had been stuck in Vegas for almost a week, rented cars, and driven home, some as far as Florida!

I am so totally loving hearing all these stories!

Virgil....you weren't late when you first met me.....:) ....and I made the ultimate sacrifice for you....I left a winning machine!
I think you owe me a walk in the rain and some muddy sandals, you smooth guy!

Have a great day!

T.O.P.!!!!!

Easy, tell her to get a Dell!

We've always had Gateways, but recently they've been bad. We've had one that has had several hard drives, a couple of motherboards, something like 4 power supplies, etc etc. Mike finally got ahold of some big wig at Gateway and she told him "we did research and found that people don't mind fixing their computers up to twice a year, so we switched to cheaper parts!" His laptop recently had some sort of problem with the screen, so he sent it back and told them he was pretty sure it was the video card that needed replacing. They switched the LCD screen and the problem was still there. So he complained again, sent it back and told them it was the video card. They gave him another LCD screen and shipped it back. Guess what, it's STILL broken. So now he's shipped it back to Gateway for the THIRD time!!!!

Now thinking about it....we gave my MIL our old Gateway so she could start emailing after her move to FL. Turns out after trying to fix it several times (long distance) it was just a dud so we bought her a Dell. Not a problem since then!!

So, my vote, go Dell. (only problem is, their CS dept is in India, but if you get someone you can't understand, call back, usually it takes 3 or 4 times, but you will get someone who is understandable!)

Yeah, me neither! I have no idea what we pay for our health insurance. I just get the reports every few months "the office premiums are going up 45%" or "we have to raise the deductible in order to keep our increase below $20,000 a year!" Sickening.

In fact, seems like Dh's office shops for new insurance a lot. Ours usually changes at LEAST once a year, if not twice. It's changing again November 1st. Everytime we go to a doctor or dentist and they ask "any changes in your insurance" we answer "yes."

Ya think it's the lawsuits fueling some of that? I know dh has said he has to practice a lot of defensive medicine b/c of the risk of lawsuits....he'll order more tests than usual just to avoid the risk of missing something!

Sue, try half a pill first and see if that works for you. Bonine kind of zones me out, same for DD. You sleep well, but that's not exactly what you want on a cruise!

I didn't think of that. Thanks! I will take a half tomorrow night since I don't want to miss such a short cruise.

Man, we're taking over the deck 6, port side hallway. We are 6060, my parents 6058 and the Scubas are 6048! :)

It is a good thing we are all close together with DD's that are 10 or 11. Maybe all three girls can walk each other "home" at night if they "close out the lab" together. I intend to stay up late each cruise and go to the late Adult shows, but I get so tired (I know I'm getting old).

You picked a simple lunch time topic. After a drink or two on the cruise I'll be glad to share the insurance prespective on the rising costs of medical insurance and why the lawyers, insurance companies, doctors, and the government are all partially at fault --- with no solution in sight.

I'm having to good of a day to ruin it by getting it to this now.

Hey Scuba Mom, I got the confirmation from Costa Rica. Matt and I will be in the rain forest on Thanksgiving, but we will be home to cook the turkey on Sunday.

Late one dark and rainy Halloween night a man was walking

home alone when he hears behind him ......

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Walking faster he looks back, and makes out the image of an

upright coffin banging its way down the middle of the street

toward him...

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Terrified, the man begins to run towards his home, The coffin
bouncing quickly behind him ...faster...faster...

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door,
rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him. However ...the
coffin crashes through his door, with the lid of the coffin clapping ...

clappity...

BUMP...

clappity...

BUMP...

clappity...

BUMP...

clappity...

BUMP...

I'd rather you ruin our day now than one of our cruise days ;) ;)

Can I put a claim into my trip insurance company??-- "Mrs. Scuba ruined a day of my cruise talking about laywers, insurance, and the government." ;) ;)

I like that you said you'd do it after "a drink or two." :)

Rushing upstairs to the bathroom at the end of the hall, he locks
himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is
coming in sobbing gasps...

then ...

With a loud CRASH the coffin starts breaking down the door.
Bumping and clapping towards him. The man screams and
reaches for something heavy...

Anything...
