She is making dinner, speaking of which, it's time to eat, yum! yum!

Tossed salad, baked chicken, baked potatoes and creamed corn. I'll see y'all later.

We're having roasted chicked, swedish creamed potatos and peas!

I'm Henry the 8th I am,
Henry the 8th I am, I am,
I got married to the widow next door,
She's been married 7 times before,
And every one was a Henry (Henry),
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (no Sam)
I'm her 8th old man I Henry,
Henry the 8th I am

Second verse same as the first . . .

I have no idea why, but this suddenly caused "The Battle of New Orleans" to pop into my head :confused3 :) I just looked up the lyrics and its a little long, but here is a snippet which is probably enough. (Sorry in advance to Andrew and any other Brits reading along!)

Well, in eighteen and fourteen we took a little trip
along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans,
And we caught the bloody British near the town of New Orleans.

We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin.
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin'
down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.
.
.
.
.
Well, we fired our cannon til the barrel melted down,
so we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round.
We filled his head with cannon balls and powdered his behind,
and when they tetched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.

We'll march back home but we'll never be content
till we make Old Hickory the people's President.
And every time we think about the bacon and the beans,
we'll think about the fun we had way down in New Orleans.

We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin,
But there wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin'
down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

Well, they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.
They ran so fast the hounds couldn't catch 'em
down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin.
But there wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin'
down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

So, do I dare go close my eyes for a bit? I should be here for the wenches......only about 50 posts to go.....

Wow I'm watching the Travel Channel about the World's Best Cruise Ships and just picked up this piece of trivia. The word Posh stands for Port Out Starboard Home. A term coined by the Brits when they travelled by ship before A/C. Those accomodations offered a cool breeze and were considered Posh. Isn't that interesting?

Note to self: Get a life.....run, run, run and get yourself a life girl.....

I'm sort of watching it. DS has had Travel Channel on all afternoon as he was playing. He left it on when he ran to see if his friend is home next door and I haven't turned it off yet...

The history of "POSH" was new for me too....

It might take awhile, but then again all the lurker will start posting trying to grab the pirate:

I can't believe how long it takes for feather pillows to dry! Every couple of years I decide the pillows are disgusting and need to be washed. Once I start it, THEN I remember why it has been a couple of years since I last did it  I ran them through the wash this morning and they have been drying for HOURS now. I have a pair of tennis shoes in with them to help fluff them up (Oops, used the "fluff" word!) so I have been listening to them bang, bang, bang as the dryer rotates. HURRY UP and DRY!

I just read earlier today that you are supposed to get new pillows every two years, also that you are supposed to get a new mattress every seven! Now, I can maybe see the pillows (though I would bet mine would go for three or four) but 7 years for a mattress? Sorry, I'm waiting longer than that!

If your weather wasn't so nasty, I'd invite myself to dinner. Yum!!

Dinner was yummy!!! More cake and ice cream later.

We've got about an inch of sn*w on the ground right now, latest forecast is now saying 4" to 6" by the time it's over with tomorrow morning.
