9 night Greek Isles

I couldn’t justify spending that much money for a 10-night cruise to places I can visit by train. For $12000 we could stay in luxury hotels, eat at gourmet restaurants and take first class trains. And not have to rush around. And we’d still have money left over to sail on the Magic out of Miami some time if we really wanted to see the ship.

I am platinum so I checked the prices today for the OP. For the 9 night, 2A1K (age 8), verandah ranges from 11,356 - 17,429. For the 12 night, verandahs range from 16,382 - 26,039.

Wow!! $26K!:crazy2:Thank you so much for checking for me!! Def going with the 7 night Barcelona to Rome lol

The oceanview is in the ballpark of where I was thinking starting at around $9k for our family of three. We'll be putting down a deposit, assuming prices don't go up too much before we can book tomorrow.

9K is a good price!! We're booking the Barcelona to Rome...my husband has decided he really wants to visit the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo where a couple James Bond movies were filmed and we can visit from Villefranche on this cruise...fingers crossed for both of us that the prices stay roughly the same and done sky rocket!

That's a great cruise. We did it last year and had a blast. You really can't go wrong!

I decided to look at other options today for summer 2020 and ended up booking (with really low deposit) an 11 night Greek Isles cruise with NCL. Total cost for 5 of us in an OV is $6,600 USD, before gratuities. That seems to be about the cost for ONE inside room for 2 people on the 9 night DCL cruises.

We booked the 9 night Greek in a category 5B verandah (deck 6) for 2 adults - $11,250 (approx) without insurance, transfers and no OBB. Might be doable at $13k plus insurance, transfers, etc.

Good for you! We too booked an NCL cruise 10 night hitting all stops but Athens as well as Dubrovnik w/balcony 2A1K (12) for under 6K. That includes the unlimited drink package and more. Now that I”m seeing these prices, so glad I didn’t wait! We’ve never had a balcony on a cruise and looking forward to this one being our first experience and the views will be stunning!

Head's up -- last summer I took a DCL port adventure from Cannes that included Monte Carlo, but the Grand Casino didn't open until 3 pm (I think) and we were there in the morning so we could only go in the lobby. If that's what your husband really wants to see, check the timing. (There's also a dress code.) I visited the Grand Casino on a different trip 10+ years ago, so I wasn't super disappointed that I missed it, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that I wouldn't be able to go inside.

I am gold an booked concierge on the June 13th this morning at 8:00 a.m. there was quite few concierge rooms, checked 4 hours later all there is 1 1 bedroom left I assume there is a few that will come back when hold expire tomorrow night, and the handicap ones might show up in 6 months for any one to book, but they went fast!

I'm gold and booked the same cruise this morning after calling right at 8 am, but I'm category 9B. The person I talked with said this one was selling fast. Happy to have my gold status!

Are you doing 6-22 or the one prior? We might have been on the Rome>Barcelona one last year too. From Bay area also :yay:

Ha! Small world! Yep, I was on the Rome-Barcelona cruise in June last year.

I booked the June 13 itinerary for Greece 2020. I would've preferred June 22 (Dubrovnik > Messina IMO) but my friend can't do those dates.
