Yup to all your points, I get all of those but what I still don't understand is why moving the 8 day rental from a Tuesday to a Wednesday is 17 THOUSAND more miles? Same number of weekday vs weekend same location, same agency. I know how to play the code game to pay cash but if we don't use miles we won't rent a car. We also refuse to rent at the airport since that level of stress doesn't scream holiday to my hubby.
Main reason we want a car is that we finally found a restaurant that was willing and able to safely cook me multiple different meals but it's in the beach club and getting there from POFQ can take a crazy amount of time if using disney transit
If that is your main reason....look into the cost of Uber. BC is 5 minutes away from POFQ.

Difference in cost between Tues and Wed probably just has to do with demand for that particular day. Curious to know what you consider airport rental stress? I've rented a few times from the CCC and it was nothing but standing in a long line while other people argue with the staff further delaying everyone else. Staff are rude and the place is filthy. There are definitely easier/better places to go. The only thing it had going for it was the shuttle which I'm not sure they even still offer.

Going Way Off Topic ...........
I am going to watch this special on Sunday.
My Dr and I briefly discussed pain management and Medical Cannabis was a topic briefly
touched upon.

Just wondered if anyone else ever wondered about this.

Thanks Mel
I might watch that out of curiosity. I know several people that have been on medical (prescribed) stuff for years. I also know several people that their doc's suggested trying different CBD products after it became legal. It's kind of interesting....the ones that have had it prescribed swear by it BUT they are also people that had used it for recreation prior. The other group are basically luke warm to it and say that they don't feel it really does all that much. I tried CBD oil for my migraines and it did absolutely nothing.....I got it from a friend who would be considered a weed connoisseur.

I have severe arthritis in both knees, I'm waiting on surgery. Extreme pain, especially at night when I'm not moving my legs. I was taking 3 Tylenol extra strength arthritis tablets 4 times a day. I tried CBD oil and it helped but not so much that I would swear by it or give up taking all Tylenol. Then I tried CBD cream and it is a game changer for me. I no longer take any Tylenol and only apply the cream in the evening before bed. I tried a few brands and some didn't work as well as others. I now have a specific brand that works best for me, I purchase from a cannabis store and not some company on the internet. My only problem is I can't take it with me when I travel unless I want to spend some time in captivity ;) .
I think it is different for everyone, it's not one size fits all. I would suggest that you maybe try a CBD cream instead of an oil for your migraines. Nothing to lose and it might help.

I am in a similar boat. DS gets me a balm that I use, which is interesting because he doesn't think that it helps. Are they his knees?? Sometimes the balm is smooth, sometimes it's grainy, but it does help. I, too, basically use it before bed because waking up in the middle of the night is not fun. After a bad night, I try to remember to take some pain killer at bedtime, as well. I do wish that CBD could be taken on our travels.

I’m open to it…I think though in the case of migraine a topical can’t work. You have to get to blood vessels inside your brain. I’ve heard that the traditional means of inhaling are required. That I’m not likely to try…can’t stand the smell on my best day. When I’ve got a migraine the smell of nearly everything makes me want to 🤮

LOL…funny this subject came up today.
We went to the track this afternoon and clearly someone near us had some in their pocket. Thankfully there was a constant breeze so it was only a whiff every so often rather than the constant stench. It must be an issue there are they had new signs up saying you couldn’t smoke it….other signs also saying no vapes or cigs.

Hi Gang
Thanks for the info
I headed to a store in Brampton and picked up some 125 CBD and 125 THC cream.
Magic on the heal with Planters Fasciitis so far. I can actually bend the ankle and so much swelling has gone down.

I am going to try taking 1 Omega CBD caplet each night and see if it helps with other pain ,,,who knows it may even help with this Chronic Fatigue I have. (I'm still not willing to accept the Fibromyalgia Diagnosis yet).🙅‍♀️
Rheumatologist was honest with me and said nothing they currently have on the market Cymbalta / Lyrica is working for Fibro),,, gee that's great news ,,not.
I see a new Neurologist in October so maybe some clarification at that time.

So sad that most seniors are taking 5 or more prescriptions a day and many of them are causing side effects that cause them to take other pills. This is big money for the Pharma companies.
I know my Eltroxin that I take for Thyroid replacement causes issues with Rhinitis ,,,but I can't live without Thyroid Hormone so I have to take it,, but then I have to take a antihistamine everyday too. Crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy!

So no yucky smell from the cream or caplets ,,,yeah I'd never be able to vape or smoke the stuff ,,,did when I was a kid though ,,,I know bad bad bad ,,,,but I was a kid. I was part of the Reefer group at school.

Anyhow thanks
Mel

Any speculation on if buying gift cards will count?!?!?!? 10 miles isn't much but I currently have an offer to earn even 1 mile thru the link program and get 100, so spend $30 and get 110 miles. It's rare that I spend that much at one time in Dollarama but if I can get a gift card and then use it later I will jump on this offer

Interesting question. I never thought about that. What is this link program?
I know I have bought a few over the last month as we are going soon. Bought at Metro for the 5 times miles using my BMO MC.

I was thinking the same thing and I have the same offer.

I know whenever I used to have these BMO promos I would go to Sobeys and buy gift cards. BMO doesn't know what you bought for $30. The description just says to spend $30 to your card. I think it would work. Maybe just buy a $40 gift card to make sure it would account for any supposed taxes?

Strictly my opinion! Fibromyalgia is a BS diagnosis. It’s nothing more than a catch all when they have nothing else to tell you. There are no tests for it other than poking you in a few places and if you react then voila you have it. The symptoms are very broad and vague…things like fatigue, joint pain, irritability or headaches. The list is very long, 20+ things that can be symptoms of a dozen other conditions or syndromes. I’ve been on this rollercoaster for years. I was sent to 6 different specialists (I did my research and all were excellent and well respected) and got 6 different diagnosis. I was offered medication that would cause at minimum a 20% weight gain which was ludicrous as my main complaint was extreme joint pain. Over the last 20 years I have been relentless in finding my own solutions. Acupuncture, Osteopathy, Chiropractic etc etc. Pain is a huge motivator. Fortunately I have a roster of people that I see for treatment and now it’s on an as needed basis.

If you have any interest in Acupuncture I can give you some info. There are vast differences in who you go to.
