Hi, Penny! Do you want us to close this one before it reaches 250 pages?
You guys decide. Taking it to 249 would work and I will check in every day till you get there. :goodvibes Which the way you guys go will take no time at all. This is the most active thread in this forum. :worship: Penny:hippie:

Glynis - I'm so sorry, I'll definitely remember them in my prayers

As far as the limpoma goes, as long as it's not contributing to the pain in my hip we'll just leave it, if it is it is just below the skin so removal will be a fairly simple process.

Glynis - your poor BIL and family. My heart goes out to all of you.

Penny - We aren't as active as we once were. :( Newfangled social media has captured the attention of our group and we don't all post on here as often as we used to. We will certianly start a new thread when we get close to the 250 mark. Thanks for taking care of us!

Debbie,
I am glad they found nothing else. Hope you can get relief from the pain you have been experiencing.

Glynis,
I don't know what to say...that is heartbreaking....:hug::hug::hug::hug:

Thanks for all the prayers! They are really doing well with the diagnosis! They've decided to live life, and not spend it moping.

I was hoping to see an update from Elin. Has anyone heard from her, yet?

okay Sabrina is up to 6lbs now so I get to stop giving the formula as she has gained 5 oz in 8 days. I have to take her back next week for another weight check ans hopefully she will be back up to birth weight or more. I suspected last wed or Thurs. that she had thrush. As she had white stuff coating her tongue and the inside of her mouth. but it did wipe off a bit so I thought it might be do to the formula. The Dr. said today it is thrush so treating both girls and myself.

I realized/remembered that there are a few of the DDA that aren't on Facebook so I thought I would post on what Elin has been keeping us to date on Facebook.

Elin's Bob has suffered a stroke (yesterday) in his brain stem and they will be doing a follow up CAT scan tomorrow to try and assess the damage. He is intubated now.

Jennifer - glad to hear Sabrina is gaining weight, I'd love to see more pictures. Congrats to Olivia.

Praying for Bob's quick recovery

It sounds like a good day in your house. I know how frustrated you've been. How is the mastitis?

Thank you, everyone. I appreciate all your kind words and wonderful thoughts for us right now. Bob rested comfortably last night, sedated and on a ventilator. They will do a follow-up CT scan sometime today to access the damage so we can go forth from this point. Kristin insisted that I go home with her last night and her room mate stopped to take care of our dog and picked up Chinese food. They fed me and "watered" me with a bottle of of my favorite wine and then I slept for 9 hours straight. That is a lot for me so I guess after being awake 40+ hours I must have needed it!

I came home this morning to take care of the dog and clean up a bit. I put beef stew in the crock pot so we have something to eat when we come home and I will head out to the hospital with Kristin about 11:00. I will put an update on fb simply because it is easier that way.

Many thanks to Tammi and Theresa for keeping you in the loop. It has been difficult to let everyone know in any other way. I love you all.

mastitis is getting better. But now we have thrush to deal with. which is a yeast infection. And I am still pretty anemic I found out this morning. It's hard to remember to take the iron pills, plus they upset my stomach.

I was anemic with the boys and couldn't tolerate the iron pills either. Thankfully it eventually went away after they were born.

Deb wish mine had gotten better. My OB called me back. Her nurse mis understood me. Most people iron constipates, me its the opposite affect. SHe told my OB it constipates me and that is why I was not taking it well. My OB is threating Iron IV infusion, if it does not get better.

Elin-lots of prayers for Bob, you and the girls.

Jennifer-hope you and girls are soon doing better!:wizard: :woohoo:Congrats to Olivia!:woohoo:

That's great news for Sabrina! I hope she continues with the good gaining! Sorry about the thrush though. Hopefully it clears up quickly. Take those iron pills! ;)

YAY Olivia!!! We're going to get Rachel's old bike fixed up and try Terra without as soon as it warms up. She was starting to want to toward the end of the summer, but someone my pregnant body just wasn't up for running along and helping. :confused3 ;)

I do have some sad news to relate, along with a request for any spare pixie dust and prayers. Alan's youngest brother, Mike, has had a really rough life! He is adopted, and his bio mom was on heroin when she was pregnant with him. He was born addicted, and it seems like his life just spiraled downward from there. In the last 10 years, he's really tried to turn things around. He gave up drugs and alcohol, stopped smoking, and married a wonderful woman who supported him through all the rehab. At that time, he was diagnosed with MS, but he hasn't let it get the better of him. He's pretty upbeat about things, and has been really enjoying being a husband and a step dad!

His wife, Carrie, has been having stomach pains, and a lot of other problems in the last few months. She lost about 70 pounds in a couple of months and didn't know why. When she had some tests run, her PCP suspected cancer. She went to a specialist 3 weeks ago, and it was found that she has stomach cancer. At that time, they didn't know if it was Stage 3 or 4. She underwent surgery last Monday, and they found that the cancer is stage 4. Basically, they stitched her up, told her that chemo would probably prolong her life by about 6 months or so, and they sent her home. She's decided to do the chemo, and hope for a miracle. Mike is just devastated by this whole thing! Could I ask for any prayers for Mike and Carrie? They are going to need it as they go through this. Thanks!

How sad, Glynis. Our prayers will most certainly be with them. :grouphug:

Tia-did you see this: http://www.disneyeveryday.com/video-animal-kingdoms-private-wild-africa-trek-tour/

It still looks cool but I like that the Sunrise Safari doesn't try to "tell a story". It is much more about how they do things at AK then the whole "you're in Africa" story. For $400 you could stay AKL CL and on the right night and do the Sunrise Safari.

That's a good idea. I might have to look into that for Sunrise.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Yesterday was not one I want to do over. We have sunshine here in VA instead of the snow they had been predicting, so I am hoping that might bring some better news today. I have a chance to read your posts here and on facebook (thank goodness for these new-fangled smartphones) in the hospital. You make me smile and lift my spirits. Thank you so much.
