I am just sad the Disney is tied to anything adult in content. Disney should just be content geared toward wholesome family shows. Pretty sure this isn't what Walt had in mind when he created Mickey.Pam & Tommy - a Disney + original (?) is literally about a porn tape and has a talking ***** in it… but Satan is where you draw the line?
The show sounds good, not sure if your point here was to indicate that Disney should only be showing content signed off by religious groups? Strange.
The adult content on Disney+ (at least what we get in the U.K.) has been amazing all under star I believe?
Extraordinary
Dopesick
Pam and tommy
The chip and dales
Dollface
The sex pistols one
I could go on, some really great show there, I’d be very excited if they added Hulu shows
I wasn't referring to Disney+ I was referring to more people normalizing evil.If you don’t subscribe to D+, particularly in Europe, it doesn’t have to be the world you live in.
While I agree with you but D+ can't survive on family oriented content alone. If it wants to stay competitive it needs a bit of everything.I am just sad the Disney is tied to anything adult in content. Disney should just be content geared toward wholesome family shows. Pretty sure this isn't what Walt had in mind when he created Mickey.
Satan is awesome!
I know, right? There are fairies and magic all over the place! Moana has both Maui and Te-fiti as icons and false gods.
Think of the children!
(In all seriousness: the OP is gatekeeping nonsense.)
Nobody kicks up a fuss there do they?
I personally don't care either way. I'm just really hoping that this forum doesn't turn into every other stupid internet forum where everyone turns into a keyboard warrior and gangs up on the OP, because what he or she said wasn't cool or trendy enough. How about don’t watch what you don’t like and let others watch what they want? Why do people always think they should control others? If no one wants to watch it then it will go away. That’s how things should work. Also parental controls and parental guidance are a thing.
I agree that there's no place for online bullying but the OP admitted she only started this thread to gauge peoples reactions and "see how bad things have gotten". Seems like an odd reason to start a thread to me.I personally don't care either way. Sounds awesome, gonna keep my eye out for it. Thanks for letting me know it will exist!! ♡
People start threads to stir the pot all the time.Seems like an odd reason to start a thread to me.
Pretty sure the world hasn’t changed that much in the entire history of humanity. Humans gonna human. What some people like others won’t.So this is the world we live in now. Sad.
Evil isn’t just normalized at Disney. It’s embraced.I wasn't referring to Disney+ I was referring to more people normalizing evil.
If your biggest concern with the world is some adult show Disney is putting out, then you really need some perspectiveI guess I didn't realize just how forgiving people on the disboards could be. I care about my grandchildren and how they have to nagivate the world. I actually posted this thread just to see how bad things have gotten.
Any statement that claims to know what Walt would have wanted can safely be disregarded. Walt was a genius, but he was totally unpredictable--if you talked to the people that knew him best the most consistent theme is that no one knew how he would react.I am sooooooo over the "Walt wouldn't..." and "Walt would roll over..." and " I'm sure Walt didn't intend..."
This type of "crap" has been in movies since movies began ... over 100 years ago. It's an abomination Why even come up with this crap.
This world existed before we all were born. Nothing has changed. So this is the world we live in now. Sad.
The Omen was probably one of the very best horror movies ever ....... and to think the villains in the story are closely woven with one of the biggest religious organizations.I mean, it doesn't sound that different from The Omen, which came out over 40 years ago and is generally considered a horror classic. It was also released by Fox, so Disney owns that too,
The Disney Company Walt started is 100 years old and Walt has been dead more than half of it. It is now a very large multi holding corporation. And given that Walt Disney was highly involved in the idea and imagineering of the Haunted Mansion among other evil - I think he'd be okay with how the company has grown their audience.I am just sad the Disney is tied to anything adult in content. Disney should just be content geared toward wholesome family shows. Pretty sure this isn't what Walt had in mind when he created Mickey.
"Evil" in this context has been around for centuries ...I wasn't referring to Disney+ I was referring to more people normalizing evil.
