I bought these once from the grocery store. They were relatively expensive, and the taste was just average. Since so many of you seem to love them, I assume the grocery store type I tried was sub-par.Perfectly baked giant classic black and white cookie.![]()
Honestly, every recipe I've ever tried from Sally's Baking Addiction has flopped. I actively avoid her recipes, but The Brown Eyed Baker has never let me down.All NY’s know this cookie well. I was just thinking, "Is no one going to say Thin Mints?" I mean, they are an institution, and I absolutely adore them -- and I'm NOT even a big fan of mint! Again, these cookies are just the right ratio/proportion; that small mint taste is "just enough" without overwhelming.Girl Scout Thin Mints, preferably frozen. But I can do room temperature.

I prefer the peanut butter base to a "plain base" you'd have in an ordinary chocolate chip cookie -- they're kind of a halfway point between an oatmeal raisin and a chocolate chip cookie. And a cowboy cookie incorporates a bit of oats and coconut flakes into the base, giving it some "chew". Thick in the middle, Cowboy cookies have either chocolate chips OR M&Ms and other mix-ins.
