I lived in the Bronx my senior year of college. I figures if I didn't go then, I never would.Going to do the once on a lifetime thing of watching the ball drop in Times Square
Yep, it truly sucks. I am amazed(and jealous, lol) that people are still traveling over there in spite of the recent restrictions imposed because of the new variant. I believe you now have to do a fit to fly to test within 48 hours of your flight over there. Once you land you need to take a day 2 pcr test and head straight to your accommodations to isolate until you get your results back-which may take up to 24 hours. You also have to fill out a passenger locator form in case a close contact tests positive? Another test before you fly back home. I think I have that right, I've been following the threads on Trip Advisor, so confusing. Not to mention the costs of all those tests especially if you want the results quickly. Good luck to you with your future travels! That's where I'm at with it too, and it is so disappointing because DD20 will be there all summer. So we'll be missing out not only on a bucket-list destination but also on spending time with her during her last summer as a student. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things start to change for the better in the spring and we can manage to make it happen despite the pandemic, or that we can at least plan for a European destination with fewer restrictions and meet up with DD there, but I'm not very optimistic at this point.
