Wow! we could've used that...

I'm really considering taking my mom's foot bath massager. I kept thinking on my last trip how nice it would have felt if I had had it with me because I feet hurt so bad. And I never go to WDW without my little personal fan and an umbrella(because I hate ponchos).

the is the grossest, funniest thing I've ever read!!! I spit diet coke out and choked a bit when I read it!!! :rotfl:

I have to agree, SO GROSS, but whoever thought of that is a genius! Well done, I think that's an excellent tip.

When I went last year, I had these terrible blisters and was able to get band-aids and first aid creme at the first aid station for free--they have them in every park. A good tip in case you forget the first aid stuff, or don't have it with when you need it.

Earplanes for the kids!!

I looked all around the airports when I realized we needed them and couldn't find them anywhere! Next time I'll bring them and we probably won't need them. :rotfl:

Where can I find these? :confused3

CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Meijer - in the pharmacy areas near the ear plugs. I won't fly without them, EVER! My DNiece (12) was holding her ears on the plane ride last week, I asked her if she was in pain and she was. I gave her a pair and she agreed it was better. They minimize the pain from presssure in the ear during takeoff and landing. They are soft plastic earplugs in a screw type shape, $4-$5 per pair and they have them for kids too.

I haven't read the whole thread, but here's the answer to your query...

THANKS!!! My Wal-Mart shopping list keeps growing! :Pinkbounc

air pressure is easy to deal with.. even for little kids.

Tell them plug their nose.. then blow like you are blowing your nose.. your ears will 'blow out'. Then simply swallow and you're equalized. Its a trick any age can do over 1.5yrs old or so.

I'm so thankful that I brought lots of ziploc bags and put evertything in them. Sunday we were having a wonderful dinner at CP and unbeknownst to us it started pouring rain (as it often does in Florida). The stroller wasn't covered (mistake) but at least the important contents (camera, DS's monkey harness, fanny pack) were with us in the restaurant. Almost everything else was safe in ziploc bags. The only thing that wasn't was a small diaper bag, that still kept the diapers dry and a coloring book I could care less about (good thing as it was totally destroyed). When the rain let up a bit DH ran for the stroller and got the $ store ponchos I bought (so nice to just take and toss and since they are so light they folded up and fit in my cargo pocket). I watched families literally wringing out all of there belongings. All we did was take out the bags, dry them and the stroller off with paper towels and we were on our way. Thankfully, DS's autograph shirt and our purchases were with us, but even if not, they would have been in ziploc bags, safe from the rain. You never know when the sky will open up and pour and if you can't get to your stroller, those bags are a lifesaver.

Not so for everyone. I had Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis) and concurrently suffered ear damage in my early 20's. I didn't realize the residual problem until I flew in a plane. The first time, I thought it coincidence. The second flight, I knew there was a problem. I sought the advise of a specialist who gave me 2 choices, Earplanes or tubes. Since I don't fly enough to warrant tubes, I use the Earplanes ear plugs. I still have some pain, no matter how much gum I chew, water I swallow or how much I plug and blow my nose, but its much better than without them. They helped my DNiece and for $5 its a cheap and easy fix that's totally worth it IMHO. My DS has tubes or I would have bought him a pair.

If you have little ones don't forget to pack a night light for the hotel room. Now my DD is a bit older we take along a small flashlight for her to put beside her bed in case she needs to get up in the night. :wave2:

I found mine on sale at Walmart for .99 cents and they were for children. The adults were on sale for 1.99.

Guess I went on a good day or they made a mistake. :confused3

That's a very good deal!

Not just for disney, but I was trying to find a discrete way to carry OB or small tampons. I put them in a pink mini M&M tube with the label taken off. This will fit nicely in a backpack/fanny pack as well and don't have to worry about the tampon wrapper wearing off and it all falling apart.

I have them stored in our camper that way as well (just for emergencies). DH wouldn't dare look in the tube anyway since it's pink.

Ahhh, nice tip. I hope you mean take the label off the m&m tube, not the tampon!! :rotfl2: Some kid looking for a treat might be shocked at what they find in there! :lmao:

Yeah, that's why I said about taking the label off (meaning the tube in that sentence). Won't really know it was a candy tube that way.

Again, I also get pink so hubby won't open it. Maybe I should start hiding money in there as well...
