My husband was like : "Don't let them watch that!" :rotfl: I agree I would not use the chapel unless I had enough people to fill it. It looks like no one loves you when it looks empty :rotfl:
:rotfl: :rotfl:

Ladies I had a nice afternoon shopping! I got some cute INC tops on sale at Macy's Whoo Hooo! Oh, BTW, it is getting HOT here!

I am lucky...neither of my girls watched it, but as it was cruising along I was like, "There's $2700, there's the fireworks for $3500.....there's the characters for about $1800....." DH was laughing. :upsidedow Ya, having a wedding in that "pavillion" when it's empty just seems wrong. Kind of cold - and lonely. Totally unimpressive....like you couldn't afford to fill it...or ya, like you have no friends....I wonder how much Disney would charge for rentafriends to fill up the pews.:rolleyes1

Congrats on the purchases!!! I am such a total online girl. I wish they'd knock on my door 1/2 hour after I pay...I do like that instant gratification....(OK, more dirty ingredients for ya P)

Thanks for the laughs girls... but I am being serious, it makes me more than a little nervous traveling all alone.
I have driven to FL before to visit with my brother all by myself but that was a bit different... 11 hours and then I was at his house haha

I have never been an entire week ALONE (savannah doesn't count except that I am in charge of her too..) while on vacation. I mean what happens if I don't tip the right person and I end up getting mugged by someone :rotfl2:

OK being funny again...
I guess I am just getting a tad bit nervous traveling alone ... does that make sense?

Where is the DME place I need to go to at MCO? Last time I took the limo so I have no idea where the DME busses are at MCO :lmao:

I can't help you much with the DME stuff, but I have seen the people with the huge Mickey hands waiting right as you get off the monorails at MCO and walk toward security....they hang there. And I have seen some down the escalators, too....you can't miss them because they wear those big ol gloves.

You know I was super nervous about being alone with my DDs in Disney but I've done it before, too. We've been just fine and actually had some of our BEST WDW fun w/out the guys!!:goodvibes You will be fine. That's another great benefit of staying concierge....you won't feel so all alone. WDW is very safe. I never worry about safety there. You and Savannah will have a ball.

Don't worry, be happy. :flower3:

Now Kelly- Just remember- I am not the one who owns the duck or the wood.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

i totally agree with brook

I also know how high the cost of living is in Florida.... you should see the prices my brother and SIL pay :scared1:
So to some 76K before taxes seems like a small fortune but that is not a whole lot while living in FL.

as for the DGC the dirty girls club ...you are a member arent you Vanessa?
Hey why didn't I get the memo about this club? :: Stomping my feet and throwing a temper tantrum:::

We gotta work the Jack visit out for the same night I visit
I think we can squeeze Jack in ;)

Now Kelly- Just remember- I am not the one who owns the duck or the wood.
That's what they all say :rolleyes1

Thanks Chan. I am sure we will be fine but I can't help but worry a llittle we are going to get lost or have some trouble or something will happen :rolleyes1

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

okay... I sign on really quick and now I am going to get myself in all kinds of trouble :rolleyes1
take a look at that thread again....

I am torked.....I need to vent because this is EATING AT ME.

There was a party that happened last night....This kid (let's say her name is Mia) handed out invites ON THE PLAYGROUND last week to "just her special friends"...well...Jo - we just found out, haha :snooty: - isn't one of her "special friends" ...even though they do hang out with the same kids & play together....Jojo's 2 BEST FRIENDS were invited to the party last night, but not Jojo.:guilty:

Jojo said MIa said she could only invite her "special friends", :snooty: ....so that her party wouldn't get all wild and crazy LIKE JOJO"S!!!!! Can you frickin believe it???? :headache: Jojo invited BY MAIL every single girl in her class so as to have no hurt feelings and just in case one of their parents is some funky Jehova's witness or whatever and doesn't do bdays, or they couldn't make it for some reason there'd be no hurt feeelings of being left out......We had 25 2nd graders in our house for pete's sake. YES it was kinda wild, but it was better than having anybody left out IMO. We invited her whole class including this Mia brat and a few friends Jo has known since preschool and some we are just family friends with.

I am just pissed that some parents don't have any courtesy...and then to find out Mia's explanation of why she couldn't invite all the girls was regarding Jojo's bday party that SHE ATTENDED.....nice:sad2: I was hoping to see MIa's mom in Target today (yes I was there, haha) I'd have loved to have been able to ask her how her party was. I almost want to write her a little note and let her know how hurtful this whole thing has been. It's so stupid, but she has always been so nicey nicey honey honey....now I know it was fakey fakey hokey hokey....:(

UGH!!!!

Praline, I saw that tip thingy.....it's just so not worth posting on those stupid threads these days. The snarky responses will follow. People are just so sweet.:sad2:

Channing that is horrible!!!!!!!

parents like that drive me nuts. I mean if you wanted a small party and not invite the whole class.. sure fine do it... but don't do it infront of the kids NOT invited.
MAN.... Tell JOJO she can come to Savannah's party :hippie:
But she has to buy her own plane ticket.

Yeah I did get a pm from the mod apologizing for her post... its still there and it has not been edited so :confused3
I told her it clearly broke the TOS rules but what was I going to do ..report it :rotfl2:

Channing~this is why we at our school do not allow b-day invites to be handed out. You went over and above by mailing them and inviting the WHOLE class! "Mia" is obviously not some your Jojo would want to hang around anyways, 'cause true friends do not act like that:thumbsup2 Just wait middle school gets worse :headache:

Thanks guys...it's been EATING at me all day:mad: ....and then I went to take a shower and my brain just went at it......

Ya, I know - our school doesn't allow invites to be handed out either:sad2: I think that's fine...It took me a LONG time to address all our invites, but I thought fair is fair & no hurt feelings is a good thing...My good friend (one of the moms of one of JOjo's good friends that was invited) even told me that these were handed out at recess so the teacher wouldn't see!!! UNREAL. That really stoked my fire. :headache: She was going to have her dd boycott the party even because she was so ticked and surprised that Jo wasn't invited....it was really kind of shocking. Jojo is a party girl and is sweet and friends with everybody. This whole stupid thing isn't worth wasting my energy on, but I just want vengeance. haha....:rotfl: :rotfl: I can't help it. Oh well....it will come. I know what comes around goes around.

Dawn...oh ya, Lucy is in 6th grade. MS is tough. The girls are brutal. She has two good friends in that school and a couple that go to diff schools so so far A OK, but I know how girls can be.

You betcha:thumbsup2 Man, I hated MS with my daughter! I will never forget the time she sat in the middle of her room crying 'cause of something that happened at school. Plus my oldest son was bullied all through MS..Only 1 more month for my youngest (which has been smooth sailing) and we will be DONE with MS...HS has been sooo much better for my oldest son!

thats to bad. They dont allow kids at our school to hand out stuff at school either. I dont do kids parties yet next year Shawn will be 10 and we will. He was invited to a party last year and there was no way everyone from the class was invited. I hope Jojo isnt upset.

I guess you could always plan Jojo a sweet 16 at WDW and not invite MIA! :rotfl: JK! ;)

Sorry Jojo is blue

Seriously, as a kids I only had a few parties b/c my mom was like "invite all the girls in class or no party". People do not teach their kids to be considerate of others. I know in life their are people that you just don't care for and would not want at a party but you can still be kind and considerate to them. It's called life skills and one of these days this little brat will get her wake up call.

We try to do a big family event like a Disney character meal instead of party's b/c it is just so much easier. We normally send cup cakes to their SS class on the Sunday closest to their b-day. We are now giving them a choice of a party or special event like a night at Disney (AS Movies, ew) or redo room or a trip to the beach , ect. Ds had a party last year because he wanted "lots of presents" so we threw him a party. After seeing the neat things we did for his sisters I think this year he will choose a special event! ;)

I can't help you much with the DME stuff, but I have seen the people with the huge Mickey hands waiting right as you get off the monorails at MCO and walk toward security....they hang there. And I have seen some down the escalators, too....you can't miss them because they wear those big ol gloves.

So from that I am guessing the DME bus thingy is in the baggage claim area on side B? I just take the tram and then go downstairs to the baggage area and then start looking? I wasn't sure if it was on the same level the tram lets you off at or if I had to take the stairs to baggage to find them....
MCO is a might big airport compared to our little airport :rotfl2:

EDIT TO ADD: FYI I can get lost in my own backyard ... I am not the best at directions and I don't want to be wandering around MCO for an hour lost!

Channing,

As I was reading this, it broke my heart all over again. This exact same thing happened to my daughter in the lower school. A friend of hers invited all the girls in their "special group", but her and another girl. It broke their hearts.

My daughter goes to an "all girl school", and they can be brutal. But I did find out the middle school is a bit better as new girls come in from different schools and they make new friends and weed out the "bad friends" from their group.

Trust me, what goes around, does come around. I find that sometimes it is pure jealousy! Some might disagree, but I feel it is true.

This too will pass. It kind of does make them stronger in the long run. We as parents take it a little bit worse than the kids, but it will pass.

Hang in there!:)

i totally agree with brook
those servers make decent money as do the mousekeepers from what I hear
and I know some peeps

as for the DGC the dirty girls club ...you are a member arent you Vanessa? :rotfl:

I am kind of laughing at the people who think these servers are STARVING and need our tips :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Working in the service industry at the #1 tourist trap in the world :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes we should tip as that is what is expected of us..and what you do... but seriously...starving? PLEASE...
If any of those servers are starving they are doing SOMETHING wrong :rotfl2:

When it comes to the service industry these people have THE DREAM job money and tip wise...
I am sure they get stiffed at times but still come out with a nice little paycheck.

Even the poor gal working at the local Applebee's can EASILY bring home $200-$300 in tips on a good Friday or Saturday night.

So now we know what Kelly was REALLY doing this weekend.:rotfl2:

Boston Manholes Erupt In Flames
Fires Shut Down Harvard Square; No Injuries Reported

POSTED: 8:56 pm CDT May 2, 2008

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard Square was closed and five buildings evacuated early Friday when several manholes exploded and burned in Cambridge.Flames roared out of several manholes and smoke was seen coming from three other manholes nearby. The immediate area was closed as part of a safety precaution as the thick black smoke billowed high into the air above the square.
