CHANON AND BOB

baby_boy.jpg

Welcome Alexander! pirate:

The OB wants all of us to have flu shots before the baby comes home. I need to do that. So far none of the pharmacies or anywhere have the vaccine, so I may end up having to go to the Dr's office to get it. I am not opposed to it, it is just really inconvenient. DS had the flu mist and his meningitis vaccine a few weeks ago.

I am on the fence about swine. Again, I think convenience will be a huge factor. There is no way I am going to any great lengths to get the shot.

Good morning. :)

No sleeping in for anyone today. Nicholas has a 9:00 football game an hour away, so we need to be ready to leave here a little after 7.

Deb and Stephanie - I had cake and ice cream last night in honor of your bdays too. I love having my mom here!

Welcome home, Becky!

We are all getting both flu shots. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. ;)

Hmmm hmmm cake and ice cream too! You did better than me. Enjoy your mom's visit. :yay::yay:

Good Morning,

We're off to Brandon's football game here too, it poured last night so I see a lot of mud in our future.

Elin, we don't have a schedule for the 3rd so I'll let you pick the time, just let us know.

Have a great weekend friends.

Have fun at the game!! And I will call you at WDW. When do you all arrive? And when do you wake up?? :rotfl2:

It is a gorgeous day here! The sun is shining, and it's not too hot, yet. The leaves are beginning to turn red and orange. The girls and I have been up for quite some time, cleaning the house. Then, we harvested the grapes, and they are now being juiced. Tomorrow or Monday I'll bottle the grape juice, and that will be that! I love looking at those pretty bottles of juice on my pantry shelves, and the kids love drinking it through the winter! I sure wish my tomatoes had done better this year! I'm about out of bottled tomatoes, salsa and spaghetti sauce! Guess we'll be buying those things this year.

Timothy is down for a nap, but once he's up, we'll be off on our fun filled weekend. We have to go to the library first, and then we'll decide what to do next. The girls want to see Up, so that's one option. The yearly Witch Festival is going on at Gardner Village (remember that, Theresa???), so we could pop over there to see what's going on and get some fudge or caramel apples. We'll see. Guess I should charge the camera battery in case we decide to go there.

Talk to y'all later!

Here is a picture of some of the dolphins off the coast of Delaware.

Well, I'm off. See you all later.:goodvibes

Have a great weekend DDA.:cool1::dance3:

Here's an awful story for you...

My nephew Joe who is the same age as Jonathan, also lives in an apartment near his college. He has 2 roommates.....Joe and roommate 2 were in and out all day on Friday....and did not see or hear from the 3rd kid all day. That night they started to get worried. They ended up going into his room...and found him dead in bed.

Isn't that horrible, horrifying etc etc etc.

I feel awful for the dead kid, his family and Joe who is traumatized by the event.

Sad tale indeed

do you have Dominick's. It is part of Safeway. We did it there....you just go to the pharmacy any day.

They say not until October 1!
The grocery store had them from 9 AM - Noon today, but I was busy.
I will just have to go get the shot from the Dr's office.

That is so very sad. Poor Joe and the other roommate. That would be horrific.

Wow how sad! Prayers & hugs for all

Our Safeway is Tom Thumb. They had the shots from 9 AM - Noon. If you want one not during those times you will wait for AN HOUR. Not worth it.

I am sorry about Joe's roommate. :guilty:

So our DVD player is broken. DS put some cheap promo disc in there and now it won't eject. He has watched the disc before, and it plays just fine, but it won't come OUT. I think we may have to buy a new DVD payer. And if we are going to buy a new thing, we might as well buy a Blu-ray. :sad2:

Kristine - I'm so sorry about Joe's situation. What a horrible thing! Do they know what happened to the young man?

Elizabeth - Good luck with the shot thing. Every Walgreen's around here has the shot, so I'm just waiting to see which would be cheaper (due to DH's insurance being cut at work), Walgreen's or the doctor's office. Oh, you'll get a kick out of this! Katie is in advanced science at her school, and is required to do the science fair this year. It's next month, so we have to get going on it. Yikes! I am so not excited for this!

Becky - Cool picture! I love dolphins!

Well, our plans were shot to you know where today! After the baby napped, we loaded up in the car, and headed to the library. We had about an hour to kill before Up started, so it seemed as good a place as any to spend some time. We were in the library for about half an hour, came out to the car, and the passenger side window had gone down into the door. We've been having problems with the motor on that window, and now, apparently, it gave out. (Of course, Alan is out of town)

Anyway, I was not about to leave the car with the window down while we went to see a movie, so we drove home with one stop for an ice cream cone. The girl's were so disappointed! I took the money we would have spent at the movie and picked up a copy of Hoodwinked for the family. They love that movie, so tonight we will order pizza and watch it. It's not the same, but it's the best that I can do!

Its been a busy day here. We just ordered new carpeting for the house so I decided to work on my room. I went crazy and threw out all old stuff that I dont need..packed up some stuff and put it in the basement..took out some furniture, rearranged my room, took down the border, spackled and tomorrow i will paint! I am exhausted!!

Do you have an Albertson's near you? They and Walgreens both had shot clinics today. The nurse in my internist office is coming to our office this week to give them. Andrew and Jake got their flu mist yesterday.

That is very terrible. I still have occasional nightmares from seeing Merrie's husband being worked on by the paramedics. I hope Joe can get some help if he needs it. :grouphug:
