Woohoo!!!!!! This time tomorrow, I'll be on my way......but first, I have to finish packing.....

Last year we used a full size suitcase and a medium size suitcase....had to buy another medium size (Mickey) at the hotel gift shop ($$$$$$) because we had so many souvenirs. Should I go with 2 full size suitcase this year.....or stick with one of each and try ( haha) to limit my souvenir shopping???????

We've thrown an empty duffel bag into our suitcase if we plan to buy a lot of stuff during our trip. The bag is strong enough to check with the regular luggage when we go home. It works out great!

I would say, since you know your shopping habits now, and since you now have two medium suitcases and one large... Why not pack the two mediums full of what you're taking, then put one of them inside of the large one, and travel that way? So when you get to WDW, you'll have one whole empty suitcase to fill-up with souvernirs?

I'm doing the "This Time Next Week..." Dance!!!

Suitcases have already been pulled out of storage, I narrowed it down to which ones I'm going to be using, and made the final draft of the packing list. I work Mon-Fri next week, so tonight after work and all day tomorrow are devoted to getting the apartment all clean and shiny. On Monday evening the laundry and packing will OFFICIALLY begin (even though I've been setting things aside for months)! Wednesday evening the pet sitter is coming by to meet the cats and get my housekey. Friday evening I will be at Walmart, picking up breakfast and snacks for in the room. And Saturday morning, I will be on my way!

I can't believe it's almost here. It hardly feels real!

I would say, since you know your shopping habits now, and since you now have two medium suitcases and one large... Why not pack the two mediums full of what you're taking, then put one of them inside of the large one, and travel that way? So when you get to WDW, you'll have one whole empty suitcase to fill-up with souvernirs?

We were doing the exact same thing. We had packed a carry on inside of a suitcase....but then we decided to just have 1 carry on per person so we have the same amount going down as coming back. and now we just have two half full large suitcases. luckily we are flying southwest so we don't have to be too worried about checking bags!

We leave in 3 1/2 days, and I finally started packing today. I feels real now

We are at WDW now (been here since Sat.) and I am surprised at how crowded it is for this time of year. We came this same week 2 years ago and the crowds were low. But so far at Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom, I find the crowds very large. Some rides have waits of over an hour without FastPass. Two years ago, the waits weren't nearly that long. And be prepared.....it is super hot. Heat indexes of at least 100 degrees (and I'm from Southeast Louisiana, so I am used to this kind of heat). But it really wears you down. With that said, we are having a blast. Plan on going to Hollywood Studios tomorrow, and Epcot on Wednesday. Then a couple of days of relaxing before going home.

I'll be arriving next week and I'm concerned about all the rain and thunderstorms in the forecast. I went in November the last two trips when it was nice and dry.

So am I. I've usually traveled in the winter, this is the first time I'll be going during the rainy season. I'm trying to stay calm, but it's not looking too good
