Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Usually we would do that, but with the scooter I wasn't sure if we would have trouble getting a bus that isn't already full or has the scooter area full before it gets to us.

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

We are doing an extended family trip, and will have a member with a scooter. My concern is the bus stop situation. We are staying in the Royal Rooms, in June, what would you recommend for the best stop to load the scooter? I am not sure what the 1st stop is currently (or if it changes), or if it...

yes the last couple of times we have flown anywhere we have had flights changed. Over the summer we had a flight leaving Denver to go home, moved UP by 12 hours!! From 7pm to 7 AM. We were staying in Steamboat Springs, (hours away). We couldn't make the new time work. They gave us a $200...

    Anyone Cancelling?

We are scheduled to arrive July 8. We were planning on parks July 9-11, then head to clearwater with extended family until the 16th, then parks the 16-19. SO now, I don't know what to do! We rented DVC, and it is non refundable, so I feel stuck. We will probably try (once available) to move our...

Parents of the Class of 2019

My DD is burnt out! She has all A's but is really in her words "done with high school" LOL. I think she'll be at Mizzou in the J school, although she is holding out hope for Northwestern or Vanderbilt to come through with an amazing scholarship that will make them affordable (not gonna happen)...

    Disney Transportation on NYE

We were in EPCOT this past NYE. We watched the fireworks by the big fountain on the Mouse Gears side. As soon as the fireworks were over, we speed walked to the buses and got right on, we were back to the POR by 1230, I would assume a similar experience, or at least a short wait, for the...

Is July as crowded as it gets?

    Afraid of crowds at Christmas

We did that week last year for the 1st time. I was prepared for the worst but honestly it was not as bad as I thought it would be. We rope dropped just about everyday, used our fast passes starting about 11, then left about 1 or so, rested, ate, even swam a couple times, then would go back for...

    Rides Per Day

It really depends on the time of year you are going. I would say summer and the busier holiday weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Spring Break) being there early for rope drop can really make or break your day. We do rope drop, and do our fastpasses for about 11-1ish. Those first hours are...

Christmas or New Years at WDW?

We watched the midnight fireworks at the fountain in Future World, we were on the side by Mouse Gears. As soon as the show was over we walked as quickly as possible out of the park and to the bus. I don't know if it was just good luck or what.

Christmas or New Years at WDW?

Yes we did go back to avoid the afternoon crowds. I honestly don't remember if we left on the 30th and came back or not! I don't think we did. But we did have dinner at BOG, at 8ish maybe. We watched the fireworks from the tomorrowland side of the hub. It was a long day though

Christmas or New Years at WDW?

EPCOT was fun! We had dinner in France at 8ish maybe, then after headed to England. They were having a dance party in back, which was great, family friendly and not too crowded. My girls were right in front dancing their hearts out. We stayed there for awhile. Then walked around World Showcase a...

Parents of the Class of 2019

Hi everyone! My DD is also a 2019 grad.. I can't believe this! She had her cap and gown pictures already , and I confess I teared up a little seeing her in it. Whew where does the time go! We are in St. Louis, she's visited a few schools, right now her top choice is Kentucky (hard for a Mizzou...

Christmas or New Years at WDW?

We were there Dec 25- Jan 4th this past year. It was unbelievable! It was super crowded but we had a plan and it worked really well for us. Most of the dates you have will be very crowded, but if you plan well, you will be fine. We got to the parks EARLY everyday, on the bus by 6:30ish form POR...

    Weight/Size on any Disney rides

My step dad is a big guy, he's about 6'6 and probably well over 350. He has a lot of trouble fitting into plane seats, so my mom is usually the one squeezed in the middle seat. He has bought 2 seats a few times, and I think uses the seatbelt extenders. He went to WDW with us about 10 years ago...
