..i know this is "old" but g.hooters, so is> me & my timbers! butty ha-
ha, don't forget! ...there be [thanks to my lucky stars], ;) & they do!
have a lil' jolly left! seeee...:dance3: for lil'grumpy me ?

* first and formost..:flower3: thanks , lisa! & bippy A' doer! for sharing
your challenging but heart warming character stories..they made me
feel :goodvibes ,all over!... i'll like to share why....i believe in the
mesaages that the disney 's characters and cm's, all workers.... can
disperse, if they hold them dear..but there also the risky outcome too,
when others abused the intended purposes.i was impressed, how both
recognized when things went astray... and then following up with
corrective measures...

"we were very lucky in 2002, when a very nice lady [from naples] saw
things going wrong with our daughter { i was there but was didn't
understand what was happening until her interventions- } for
the record..it wasn't that long ago..i used to blow such encounters off..
as useless and a big wast of $$$$. [in '99, i complained the whole
year....that was all the help i gave my wife]...well this, "people"..is the
work iam in. so watching & learning ...& nice people-like the lady from
naples, gave me "all kind-ness" of insights. the thing that seem so
important..was your daughter pointing out "that's favorite-mom"...
what a neat moment of reminising. pixiedust: .therfore, i just like to share
my professional viewpoint = why such moments are valuable..to
everyone well being. " in life, there will come times, we will need to
find comfort and happiness ..to cope with our undesirable circumstances.
it can be the difference from recovery or.... to a life of misery.:sad1:

these are the type of gifts we hope our disney cruises have given our
children. sweet is how you turned these challenges around, and i
hope those "new" to the job recognized how powerful their intentions
can be...when in "character".

needless to say..we had a few experiences of our own...& i got to
say..we have "worked" with bj ..since 99...she is very special and
we appricated...her  attitude toward all children and holding
the disney dream with tlc! now that's real :mickeyjum mouse magic!

*Wow...if you connect the dots..from my begining to now , it is evident
that a dsiney cruise can be most educational ..esp .when you get involve
with others...:wizard: .me thinks iam getting some kind of fever.

special wishes..to bellelinus...:grouphug: , we sure are missing
you..and hoping for positive outcomes......:goodvibes .

dear andrew, i don't remember if you reported your daughter 's
recovery..but i sure hope so. hanks again..your picture esp. of
your son 's...princess reactions are just great disney memories
we all can share :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Joel & Dylan!!!

bday10-lg.gif

Yes happy birthday to Joel and Dylan.

Spring starts and its snowing here now!

Thanks for the replies on my question about the excursions. I will be sending my info to lbgraves soon. Count me in for the wristbands and the t's.

I know it's a long time before we leave BUT something that's been nagging me for a few weeks about this cruise.......

How do we go about "one-way" rentals for tuxedos / dinner-suits etc - collecting in California and drop-off in Florida. Coming from the UK, I really do not want to have to bring dinner-suits for me and my son. There'll be enough luggage with he dresses for my wife and daughter without adding to it !! Also, I'll be bringing two rugby jerseys for Castaway Cay !!

Any previous eastbound repo cruisers remember what they did?

Any help, as always is greatly appreciated.

David

David order these through www.cruiselineformal.com they deliver to your stateroom and collect after the last formal night.

Last time was good value as 'per cruise' not days/nights so was the same cost as a 7 night cruise.

Both closer to the time, I just received the Med stuff with it in it, but havent ordered for that as many cruisers feel the Med will be more casual than usual, and have our problem this time of transatlantic flights.

A travel suit in your luggage is just as good.

:tink: :sunny: ...to lisa!...thanks for the supportative measures..
and sharing your daughter's wonderful "daddy's story!".......

it made an old '& lil'grumpy pirate: 'dad :sad1: . now i know exactly
why william of poc, made his sarifice for his son well being...

do you ever reminisce back to the raining night, next to a mud
puddle?..how important that moment became? to you and your
beautiful family? .."her" happiness seem tied directly to her daddy
being so proud ! ahhh, that's one powerful heirloon...that took
me back to a moment in time, she looked up to say "no"...[ she
heard i was somewhat a pirate: ..all lies,i tell you! ] but "no"
was written all over her face....& there's were all of our futures--
hanging on what i did next!

* as i did reacted to her "displays"...by -biting my lip...&
...putting on my best :dog: dog "eyes" & offering :flower3:
wishes..& before she could utter a word..i whisper, plez say "yes"....
pixiedust: ..and the rest ..is history.. :yay: whew! , that was so close!

when i think about it now, our date had some wild adventures in itself..
i sorta recognized what i was geting myself into, even for my own good
:rolleyes1

[if one thinks , it is because we are so lucky to have experienced
such lil' tokens from our children  , that makes the make believe
the poc's story lines so endearing? ]

thanks! :goodvibes

Found this very interesting today. OPens today.
Visitors to the Grand Canyon are to get stunning views from a raised glass platform being inaugurated shortly.
Rising 4,000ft (1,220m) from the canyon's floor and 70ft (20m) beyond its rim, the Skywalk is being described as an engineering first.

The Hualapai Indians, who own the site, are hoping to attract visitors to a high unemployment area.
But some tribal members say this is a desecration of sacred ground and environmentalists are also concerned.
Former astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin will be among the first to go onto the walkway.
How the Skywalk measures up to other constructions
Construction of the Skywalk began in March 2004 - and will open to the public on 28 March with 120 people allowed on the platform at any one time.
The bridge will be able to sustain winds in excess of 100mph (161km/h), as well as an 8.0-magnitude earthquake within 50 miles (80.5km).

Las Vegas businessman David Jin raised the money to build the Skywalk which will be given to the Hualapai in exchange for a percentage of the profits.
"When we have so much poverty and so much unemployment, we have to do something," Sheri Yellowhawk, told the Associated Press news agency.
"It sounded like a good idea."

Small world Huh. We love it here in VA. I grew up in Ohio, met my DH, we moved to Indiana, then South Carolina (no offense to the folks who lived in SC but I HATED it). Then we lived in Fishersville VA for about 3 years, loved it there, had a gorgeous view of the mountains. BUT when we moved here, I truly think we found "home". I love the weather here, I love Mechanicsville, I love our neighborhood, I love our schools (even the one I work at), I love that 95 is a hop skip and a jump away. I love that we are close to the beach and to Williamsburg - did I mention I love VA? My kids and I are flying to Ohio over Spring Break and I have already warned my MOM that if it snows (I can remember hunting Easter Eggs in the snow) while we are there I will never come back to Ohio again. I really hate the snow and love that we haven't seen any of it for a couple of years!

Must be why they say VA is for Lovers:love:

Good Morning! :surfweb:

Happy Birthday Joel and Dylan!!!
Happy%20birthday%20cake.jpg

Julie - :grouphug: and pixiedust: that all works out well for you and your family. You're in our prayers.:flower3:

Mark & Laura - :grouphug: and pixiedust: for your  and the doctors to finally find a solution to all of her troubles. Prayers for your family as well!
thank you so much!!!

Hmmm..... wonder if we can hotwire that mega power into the blender.....

Then the blender will never stop!
That just might work!!! :lmao:

We love MR for herself because she's a heck of a fun gal! The booze and blender are just an extra special bonus!!
I totally agree!!!!

:) Morning everyone!!!!!:)

been under the weather - so I haven't been posting much (apologies)- but I have been stopping in here and there to try to stay caught up a bit!!!

going to go ketch up the rest of the way!!!!:wizard:
Hope you feel better soon.

:grouphug: here's to hoping things are better for her VERY soon!!!:wizard:
Thank you!!

Last night I couldn't have typed if I had wanted to. He ended up giving me a shot of cortisone in the wrist for now, and said to do "absolutely nothing" with that hand for a month, until I see him again. Apparently, everything that the general orthopedic surgeon had done for the last 4 months was wrong. There had been a crack in the bone, and there's a tear in the tendon. Hopefully, the cortisone will take the inflammation down enough to help the tendon heal without having to have surgery.
After the numbing stuff (maybe novacaine?) wore off late yesterday afternoon, I was in so much pain I was cross-eyed. He said it could be 3 days of that pain, but today is much better, so by tomorrow it should (I hope!) be really good. I have no idea how I'll handle some of the rides where I have to really hang on. Of course, DH said "Just don't go on them". Yeah, right!
So any posts from here on out will be short ones.......
Stace, that doesn't sound too good at all. Sending you prayers for a quick recovery!! I want you to enjoy your trip for me.

Lots of prayers and pixie dust headed your way!!:wizard:
Thank you!!!

Exactly :thumbsup2 See what I mean? :lmao:
Really, is there any other reason to work?

Me, too. I've had the knees done, my heels, and my spine. But so far, this one hurt the most. Except the time they accidentally hit a nerve when doing my spine.
:scared1:

Before I had my THR I would let them give me a shot in my hip but only when the pain got so unbearable. I never did it more than twice a year though because I was afraid of the side effects.
