Of all the things I have shown my DH to get him excited about this trip-I think the Nachos finally did it! THANK YOU....only problem is now he's "mad" at me 'cause he says he's gonna be hungry all night! (No nacho fixins at home ) Also, you should post those on the food porn post for sure!!!!

The songs they have are basically classic 80's music, bon jovi, ummmm vanilla ice, ummmm typical karaoke songs. Scott is a karaoke nerd like you hahaha. so trust me next trip he wants to sing.

Ok Im back, sorry I have been so busy with school. All I want to do is roam around the boards and do my TR, but I cant boo. SO Finally tonight I have the chance to Do my Last Day at Universal Orlando Resort.

Last Day on our Mini Weekend vacation Trip

"Portofino Bay then Home"

We woke up that morning at around 7am, I called Guest Services to see if we can extend our check out time to 3pm, they said no but 1pm is possible. Ok perfect so we went back to bed then at around 9am Scott went downstairs to the front desk to get our T-shirts from yesterday. So he came back up to the room as I was getting ready and he said we have to check out at 11am. WHAT?? Thats not fair, they said 1pm. Oh well nothing we can do about it, so they said they were gonna deliver our shirts so we can wear them today. We waited 1 hour to get the delivery, soo annoying but I understand they probably get busy. So after we were done packing up we called the luggage service and they got our bags and held them for us while we went to breakfast at Islands and then roamed around.

We were hungry and ready to eat at Islands, buffet again lol.

So then after breakfast we decided to walk towards City Walk and take the boat to Portofino Bay Hotel. It wasnt a long walk, but it was beautiful. The day was gorgous Sunny, Bright and Breezy.
I saw beautiful plants and flowers on our walk.

This was a boat we passed by on our walk, it beeped its horn at us. haha

We passed by Jimmy Buffets Margarittaville, next trip I want to eat there because I love margarittas.

We got on the boat and then sailed our way towards the Portofino, but first we passed by the Hard Rock

We arrived to the Portofino and let me tell you it was BREATH TAKING!
I loved it, it was so beautiful. I sorta felt like I was in Italy.

We got off the boat and headed towards the lobby. We saw some "vespas" they didnt move they were bolted on the ground BUT we took some cute pictures.

I want to get one in pink lol.

We then walked towards the lobby and let me tell you its just soo beautiful.

The lobby was soo classy and divine, Scott and I had a disagreement. He liked RPH better but I said for more elegant purposes I like Portofino...I said Id like to get married at Portofino, Scott said it was too fancy!

I like fancy lol. Scott is more into Tropical settings. We then walked around some more through the lobby.

I thought this was soo cool, it was indoors but it felt like if you were in Rome at night doing some fancy shopping for Gucci.

We went up the escalators and found the ball rooms. OH MY GOSH, I want to have my wedding reception here soo badly. Isnt that just gorgous.

This hotel was breath taking, we reccomend you go see it when your in Universal.

So this is my favorite picture...

Look at the staircase. Isnt that soo pretty. That convinced me I wanted to get married there lol. It was just gorgous.

We then sort of snucked in some ball rooms to see what they looked like

We started to walk out of the hotel to head back to the Royal Pacific and get our bags to go home

Scott wanted a picture here lol, who knows.

I apologize. I wrote in the previous post "this is a picture of the boat that passed us" Well I didnt put the picture in there, sorry for the confusion.


We couldnt resist taking more pictures throughout the hotel. If any of you decide to go DONT forget your camera lol.

I saw this cute lounge, it looked great for a late night drink.

BY the way, this is still indoors. Doesnt it look like its outside?? NOPE thats still part of the lobby. I love it.

I loved the fountain. there was so much i loved about this hotel.

I made Scott pretend like he was opening the door. HAHAH

This is us on the boat going back to City Walk to take a boat to RPH.
As we were riding the boat we were discussing our next trip.

We got back to RPH and walked by the pool. It looked soo delicious, I wanted to jump in again. But we had to head home.

Doesnt that look amazing. Perfect for vacation.
We decided to order some Tropical Drinks from Bula Grille, right before we leave.
Scott got a pina colada, I wasnt too fond of it. I got a something sunrise, I cant remember the names at all. It was delicious. It had like a strawberry and coconut flavor. So yumm.

We then finished our drinks, and sadly walked into the lobby to get our bags. The service was great, they got our car and put the bags in for us. We headed home after a wonderful trip

Thank You all for reading my first TR. I had a great time doing it. I hope you enjoyed. We are planning our next trip for the end of this summer. It might be half Disney half Universal. So look out for my next TR this summer lol.

Awesome trip report. Did you love Universal or did you love it? :laugh: I feel a Portofino trip coming up soon! Haha.. Portofino is my 2nd favorite after Royal Pacific but I've had such amazing trips there that somes they duke it out for 1st place. But Royal Pacific just feels like home..

Did they actually tell Scott something about having to leave at 11am? Or did he just see the sign and get scared?

Your soo lucky you leave soon, I will be expecting a TR from you soon. lol I loved universal and I loved it again lol. I think they told Scott 11am, but Im not suprised if he did see a sign and just said ooh its 11am lol.
