You guys were talking about your fav childrens shows. Here I date myself again.
Winky Dink, Howdy Doody, of which I was in the peanut gallery2x,The original Mickey Mouse Club, we can't forget Ding Dong School with Miss Frances, Romper Room.

It used to freak me out that she could see me in the Magic Mirror.

So here is the thing. I just caught up on the last 20 pages or so. In the process I multi-quoted several posts. Now the logical thing would be to leave the quotes and add my $ .02 But then I thought to myself, self, maybe it would be fun to just write my replies. So now I offer you, the late night DISers, a game of "What the heck is she replying to??"

The Great Space Coaster.
HR FLUFF & Stuff.

Don't blame ME for the singalong.

Somebody get that man a button!

Binder note: baggies for Cartegena.

I can recite the Gettysburg Address and the balcony scene from Romeo & Juliet. And the preamble to the Constitution.

We lived in FL in 2000. I may or may not have voted.

Don't forget the wax.

Catch Me If You Can.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

No google. I just know stuff.

Most of us can quote the preamble to the Constitution thanks to Schoolhouse Rock (connecting the dots between posts)

Good Lord!!! Don't you people sleep?

I'm glad I don't have any meetings this morning so that I can skim thru and see what havoc what went on. Crush I hoped you stayed out of trouble!!

Are there any Amazing Race Fans here?

I love AR. I've been a fan since the show first went on. I was a bit disappointed when I heard they were doing an all-star version. But with the Frat Boys, the evil Guido's and Rob & Amber back, it should be good. And beside, Phil is a cutie. Some people ask, "Ginger or Mary Ann"? In my book it's, "Jeff or Phil"?

Kimberly, welcome:yay: :yay: , welcome:yay: :yay:

A few posts later I mentioned that I work on the animal health side of the industry. So if Kitty has a flea/tick problem, I'm your gal.

My BIL is Columbian. He and my sister travel to Cartegena regularly to visit family. I fully intend on using them as a resource. They keep inviting me to come with them. I may be taking a re-con trip. Anything for my fellow pirates.

OK I need another cup of coffee.

Well...

... funny you should mention all this and dat... cuz I didn't find a flaming pooch photo... but I DID find a pooch jumping through a flaming hoop!

Yeah, I imagine finding a picture of a flaming pooch might be difficult.

I remember Romper Room, and Winkey Dink. Any one from the NYC area that remember Wonderama with either Sonny Fox or Bob McAlister? I thing it was on either Sat or Sun morning. One of them openly smoked on the show. Hey it was the 60's.

Morning Andy.

Did you get some sleep last night? How are the knees?

Hi Jeff,

Actually I slept quite well, didn't even wake up until nearly 6am, that's sleeping in for me. :lmao:

Knees are feeling a bit better this morning, but still need to rub some Mineral Ice on them.

Now that I'm nearly all caught up, I can get myself some breakfast. With no school, or work, today or Monday, Hazel and Angelina will be sleeping in late (as usual).

Have a GREAT day!!!

My kids are off school today too. I hoped they would sleep in, but I've already heard the pitter-patter of little feet (ok, more like the stomping of a herd of elephants) upstairs.

Can't drag them out of bed on school days, but on a day off -- up at the crack of dawn. :confused3

We too are big AR fans. Ever since season 1.

DS is really into it as well.

The only season I didn't like on AR, was with the families, that season got on my nerves a bit.

I hope they don't win..I hope they are kicked to the curb immediately... there was an article this past week in TV Guide where Rob whined that the winning team "stole" the title from them and got a lucky break..I guess he forgets how much he and Amber used the "Survivor" card to pull a few favors along the way.

Desiree

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 They had help all around the world. Too bad their luck ran out when they needed it the most.:woohoo: :woohoo:

Can you ask them about emeralds? I want to purchase some for my mom, sister, 2 nieces and of course myself. However, I want to stick to the area around the port.

Not in this house, Angelina will sleep until noon (or later) if we let her, but we start waking her up around 11, I think that is late enough. Hazel will probably get up around 10 or so.

Will add to the list. I know my sister buys really good leather there. She has a beautiful purse that is considered the Coach of Latin America. I've got to get the name.

No, just Cinder - DS says her middle name is Ella. She's a beagle - actually all of our dogs have been beagles - DH has a thing for them, and I think there kinda cute too. However, when I was a kid we had a schnoodle and I would love to have one of those again.

I was thinking from the picture of Cinder that she looked just like a brown Snoopy....and well, she's a Beagle so that makes sense! Very cute picture Lorri....and I showed Drew the pictures of Joe. Thanks for sharing...

Andy,

Glad to hear you had a good night.

Are you off work again today?

If so, with them sleeping in, you won't have to worry about them interrupting your pirate: run. :rotfl2:

But then again, maybe Randy will win 2 in a row.
