DDA Chapter 4

Good morning! I've been able to read but not post much the last day or so. I love the science fair and other school projects... nice work moms :teeth:

Have a good day, and I'll try to pop on more when I can!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope you feel better soon Beth :wizard:

Garrett has had a sore throat for 2 days now. He said it does not hurt to much, but you can hear that his voice is different. I hope it does not get any worse or that the rest of us get it.

Thank you! I hope Garrett is better now. :wizard:

I've decided that I don't want to get hot flashes, and they are probably not far away for me. I will be freezing and then take some ibuprofen. Twenty minutes later, I'm stripping as much as I can, because I'm so hot. Not something I am looking forward to, but others have lived to tell the tale. :rotfl:

Have a great day, DDA!

Beth - for me it has not been so bad. Hopefully it will be the same for you. I occasionally get hot flashes but they are not debilitating. And I have opted to not take hormone replacement therapy. So, I guess I have lived to tell the tale!

I hope you get to feeling better today.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

I am going to pull a "Tom" and go to bed after telling you all "good morning!" ;)

We are here... in Hartford, CT. The roads started to get bad and when we called to check on availability at any hotel in the Brookline area we found they were all booked. We don't have to check out of here until 11:00 and they have breakfast from 7-10. We all decided to take our time in the morning and see what is out there when we wake up. Thanks for all the good wishes. So far, so good!

I'm hoping that you are all safe and sound and warm!

Same here & the only time that this really affects me is when I go to bed at night. As long as I have my fan I am ok!

Beth sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. Garrett has a cough, but so far it has not slowed him down any. His throat seems to be better.

Elin glad you made it home safely, hope you get some rest today!

Well Brandon is back to his usual self, and his dad is dong great. He had the drain removed yesterday and he has to go back and have the stint removed on April 8th, other than that he is good to go, he has to take it easy for the next three weeks.

Yay! I'm glad to hear that they are both doing well.

We managed to repair/rebuild the canopy for Hunter's wheelchair today. I also printed out most of our trip t shirt transfers and cut them out. It took many hours to do all the cutting. Maybe tomorrow I will get them ironed on. I need to get projects finished and put away. Decluttering.

I got my work schedule and I am working the next 6 nights :scared: Boy I hope we are busy to make it worthwhile.

With that I'm off to bed.

Deb

Deb, your mental picture of the board actually proves my point about not having a written set of instructions to follow. I don't know what the board is supposed to look like.:confused3 I know it had to have written info about Greece's geography, and it had to include 3D elements. It had to be on single panel, foam core board. But other than that there were NO clear directions. And the garlands of grapes on vines started at $10 and went up from there! The other thing is that he has social studies as his LAST class of the day. Even if he had a locker (which he doesn't, because the lock got stolen) that board wouldn't fit in a locker. The more elaborate it is, the worse it will be to keep it intact. Hopefully they will be allowed to bring their projects to the classroom earlier in the day.
I hope the restaurant is hopping this week! :wizard:

I'm glad you are home safe and sound, Elin. I hope you get some much needed rest today.

Yay for getting Kathrin settled, and for you getting home safely! :goodvibes

Good morning, all! I haven't read since Friday evening, so I need to go back and do that.

We have a 2-hour delay here which means no preschool. Thank goodness! I still have the fever and the awful cough. I don't want to go infect any of the kids, but we don't have subs available. I hope that I didn't infect everyone at the synchro meet yesterday. I'm usually much more respectful, but they really needed me to drive.

Feel better, Beth! :wizard:

I am in such a funk today. I really just want to sleep which is my typical getting depressed MO. We are so sick of winter and snow. It'll be July before it all melts at this point. The good news is that the foot we had expected ended up being only 3 inches :thumbsup2 I need to get my butt in gear as I need to we AT work in an hour. I'm not looking forward to going as I am in the back room (usually big parties) and there is only a 12 and 8 planned in there. We work 2 waitstaff in that room and pool tips and I greatly dislike the girl that I am scheduled with. Now mind you I can get along with about anyone, but she is just a negative constantly complaining person. I can't wait for tonight to be over with.

We are debating whether to take the boys skiing tomorrow or not. It is supposed to be highs around 30 degrees and windy. I would wait another week, but we need to tap the trees very soon and I don't know when another opportunity will arise.

 I hope that Spring comes soon and helps to pull you out of this funk. I am feeling that way myself.

It looks like I'm all alone here right now, I learned how to do a new background on photoshop so here's a design I came up with it. DH will never wear this one, :lmao:

Debbie, I love this! Want to share how you do that background?

He had a bag in front of him and a drink, they said he was burning up. This was before the ambulance showed up. We were seated before the ambulance arrived. It looked like they just got there though. So who knows.

Maybe he had a fever seizure before you got there, and that is when they called the ambulance. I hope he is ok.

Beth - for me it has not been so bad. Hopefully it will be the same for you. I occasionally get hot flashes but they are not debilitating. And I have opted to not take hormone replacement therapy. So, I guess I have lived to tell the tale!

I hope you get to feeling better today.

Well, that's hope. My mother didn't have a hard time either, so I'm hoping that part is hereditary.
