Kimberly - Love the Jewlery!

I can't believe this cruise is sold out already! That means VERY crowded.:headache: Oh no!

Hey - how did we fall to page 2???????

Question for you all - do all of you bring a rolling cooler with beer, wine, etc, with you? How inconvenient is it to have to roll it all over before your rooms are ready? Is it a big deal? We are thinking 1 rolling cooler per cabin - 2 or 3 cases of beer and a couple bottles of coconut rum to mix with Diet Coke and some other assorted liquor and maybe a few bottles of wine.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Crissi

Well....ballet/tap was a bust:rotfl:

It moved WAY too slow for Reese's taste...oh well! I think he imagined he'd be doing the Nutcracker dances right away. All the toe poiting, barre work, & toe tapping just wasn't enough moving around the room for his taste.

He did complete the class though, so I told him I was VERY proud of him for sticking with the 50 minutes of class even though he wasn't having fun the entire time :)

Heather - did he at least enjoy the tap portion of the class? That's great that he did the entire class even though it wasn't what he expected. It shows what a great boy he is.

Crissi - my DM was so excited to hear that she would be allowed to bring her box of wine on the cruise and some beer for my DD. :drinking1 I don't know if they will bring enough for a cooler, but they will have a real heavy travel tote.

Kimberly - where did you get the bling - I love it!!

My Sister that is cruising with us didn't realize that she was allowed to bring her own beer and liquor with her. She thought I was kidding! She'll be the one with the bottle of Stoley's Orange by the pool.......

Crissi

Kimberly I love the bling you purchased where did you get it from?

Thank you Lisa and Crissi!

Where? QVC of course! :thumbsup2 Check them out! We could start a Hidden Mickey club. :earboy2: They have several decent pieces, imo. Although, I think some pieces are way overpriced.

Hidden Mickey Ring
Hidden Mickey Pendant

I also have this piece....Princess Heart Gemstone Pendant in citrine.

I LOVE this piece that comes in both a bracelet and necklace in various lengths....Mickey Confetti . I already have a necklace nearly identical to it though, so I'm resisting, resisting, resisting!

Can you tell me where to find the rules regarding this. I didn't know we could bring some of our own liquor on ? :woohoo:

Do they still have a package you buy for soft drinks? If so, does anyone know how much that is per person? Thanks:rotfl:

Wow! Love the bling, Kimberly! My MIL bought me a Mickey ankle bracelet for Christmas from QVC! Guess I'll be sporting it on the cruise!

As for the "rolling bar," we are flying so won't bring much, and DS and I are the only ones who drink a little. It might be nice to pack our own rum and utilize the free coke on deck 9, and paying $27 for a $4 bottle of wine on board would bother me - so maybe... :rolleyes1 I was wondering, could you check the rolling cooler in as luggage at the port? Has anyone done that? :confused3

One more thing, what is Stoley's Orange?

....Do they still have a package you buy for soft drinks? If so, does anyone know how much that is per person? Thanks:rotfl:

Nope. No package. No worries, either! It's all free unless you get it from room service or order it at a bar. An exception to "ordering it" is when you are in the dining room. Otherwise, help yourself at the beverage station on Deck 9 Aft, 24x7. :)

Just curious, what was your experience with Beaches that you wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Which Beaches did you go to - Turks & Caicos? or somewhere else?

We went to Turks, Dec 06. I wrote a lengthy review about it and posted it on Tripadvisor.com. This is the link. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUser...s_Caicos-Providenciales_Turks_and_Caicos.html

If you read my review you might think it was the worst vacation ever or that I'm the kind of person who is never satisfied. I really can roll with the punches. We all had a memorable time and my kids still talk about it, asking if we can go again. I just can't justify the high prices.

Eventually, we were offered some compensation other than what was in my review but thats another story.........

Wow, just read your review :scared1: It is too bad such a special occasion had to be marred by so many problems! I experienced surly, rude, lazy service in the Bahamas, too! I was always very nice and undemanding. The Atlantis property was excellent, but it seemed most of the staff wasn't interested in pleasing the guests much at all, except over in The Cove area. At that resort, the tips were pre-paid, (although you were free to leave more) so apparently they didn't feel they needed to work for it? :confused3 Definitely not DISNEY! ;)

Once again we will have our liquor shipped right to our stateroom. We did this last cruise and found it to be very helpful. No need to worry about the bottles breaking or having to carry the extra weight around the airport & terminal:cool1:

Tap was his favorite part. I could see him mind-wandering after 30 minutes of ballet, but the tap was more his style. But when I asked him if he wanted to try just tap, he said it was all boring. Oh well!

Ohhhh...that Mickey Confetti line is so cute! The only thing I ever purchased from QVC was in college....it was this octagon shaped cupcake carrier that flattened down to store. HA! The epitome of home shopping late night purchases.

Oh, and one late night in college I bought Richard Simmon's Sweatin To The Oldies. Oh my....

Just to clarify...did you mean that "ordering it" in the dining room means you'll be charged?

Our last (and only so far!) cruise was Disney and we only ate in the dining rooom 2 times on a seven night cruise. We were shocked to find charges for our dinner pops because I thought I knew all the free places to find pop and didn't realize they charge (per drink, no free refills!) at the restauraunts.

Why did we only eat twice at the restauraunt? We had the WORST tablemates EVER and didn't realize we could request to be changed! We ate with them three times--first night at dinner, Mickey's Breakfast Jam thingy, & Pirate Night at dinner. They showed up 30 minutes late for Breakfast Jam, and 45 minutes late for Pirate Dinner. No kidding! And they were soooo rude to their three children & the wait staff.

Then one morning we were up by the Mickey Pool & there were two munchkins, unsupervised, with the styrofoam cups from the drink station. They were dumping pool water on the decks...but what else do you expect kids to do with cups & water? After about 10 minutes (we were eating breakfast & watching this, so I know it was quite a while), this Mom comes tearing around the corner YELLING at her kids, ripping the cups out of their hands, grabbing them by their arms and dragging them across the deck. I look up & guess what Mom it is? Our tablemate! I felt bad for the three kids....
Ugh. Totally unpleasant.

Anyway--just a reminder--if you have issues with your tablemates, I was told I could have talked to our head waiter & requested a table change. Good to know!~!

Charlie,

How do you have your liquor shipped? That sounds like a GREAT idea!
