    Now they're going after Halloween

Right, they are replacing it with founders day, honoring the namesake of the school which no one knows who he was. The date they are having it is in November. That “being inclusive” thing, it always ends up with at least a few who are excluded.

    Now they're going after Halloween

I took that figure from the school district of Needham, MA. I looked up the School Board agendas that includes the school that we are talking about, so I didn’t make an assumption. Besides, I said it was under 25%.

    Now they're going after Halloween

Schools don’t ask about religion, but in a public school there are students of differing religions. They are still a minority. In years past, that Elementary school had celebrated Halloween with a parade in costumes and parties. That until this year the teachers and most students were having...

    Now they're going after Halloween

Obviously as seen on this board. But being a different religion can be seen as a minority and discriminated against. As I believe that the school district was using a broad interpretation of what a minority in the classrooms are.

    Now they're going after Halloween

As a Jewish and Native American person, I don’t celebrate Christmas, Easter, Lent or Ash Wednesday. Didn’t know until I was an adult that most days on the calendar were feast days for Saints. Was discouraged repeatedly from trick or treating on Halloween, if Halloween fell on a day when I had...

    Now they're going after Halloween

I’ll answer your questions in order. None, all students that are having difficulty will be offered help by their teachers. Since most minority students don’t celebrate Christian holidays, in order to be inclusive of all they take away from all. I believe that they didn’t tell the truth. I...

    Now they're going after Halloween

The poster I responded to said Halloween is only an event. One that could be moved to another day. I looked it up and saw that going around in disguises and getting something to eat, had to be done on a certain day or the meaning is lost. Then it does become an event. Your last sentence is what...

    Now they're going after Halloween

Well, there is a Jewish holiday where people dress up in costumes. Usually Purim falls in February and March.

    Now they're going after Halloween

An event that has roots in the eighth century and a pope, Gregory IV, who made the date what it is today. The customs that come from it like trick or treating is rooted in what is called souling. Wearing disguises for protection while souling. Getting food for offering to soul, mostly buns with...

    Now they're going after Halloween

I believe there is a lot more to the story about why they are changing the Halloween celebration and making it a founder of the school day. Changing the date is also a question I have. Who is behind the reason for canceling something that has gone on for years. Those are the questions I have.

How to know if a port adventure is sold out or just not offered?

There could be another explanation. Timing of the Port Adventures. If an excursion conflicts with the time that the ship is in port, it will not be listed as an option.

    Now they're going after Halloween

No kids are suffering or harmed by not having a Halloween celebration. You tell me how kids are harmed or made to suffer by having a Halloween celebration?

    Now they're going after Halloween

But it is. Telling a girl who is not Polynesian that she can’t dress as Moana because she is white is making it political. What about a white girl who wants to dress as Tiana? People are now saying cultural appropriation if that happens. Again someone gets offended. The thing is nobody looks at...

    Now they're going after Halloween

I was looking up William Mitchell, found a few. One was a lawyer and another was the name of the President of the USA in the film Dave! Didn’t see any others that would be important enough to have their own day!

    Marvel Day at Sea Navigator

To be honest, I am not interested in Marvel characters. I like the idea of going on a cruise, going to WDW, and 4 sea days. I am sure I will catch a glimpse of the activities on board but I am on a Disney cruise, can’t wait! Almost 5 more days!

    Marvel Day at Sea Navigator

They do have a Meet and Greet with other Marvel characters. In my activities that I can reserve tickets, are two M&G possibilities. Groot by himself and other Marvel characters in a different location I guess.

If you do the hotel through DCL...

There is usually a desk at the hotel the night before the cruise for DCL. My suggestion is to try and make the transfers a couple of days before the cruise. I find it easier to mostly plan ahead.
