Has anyone received their refund yet?

We requested a refund last Monday, April 27, and received the remainder of our refund today, May 6th. Very happy with the quick turnaround.

    May 23rd Fantasy

I am on this cruise also. I don’t believe there is any chance it will sail although there are many people in my cruise group who are hoping otherwise. We are just waiting for it to cancel so we can get a refund. We can go to Hawaii for 10 days next year for less than this cruise and feel more...

    Can you split DCL credit?

I get it, doesn’t mean I have to like it. We are sailing concierge in late May and if they cancel the cruise the only option we have in the next 15 months is a B2B dream in late May. If I can’t apply the 125% credit to both of those then I would request a refund and will choose a different...

7 Night Alaska vs. 9 Night Southern Caribbean

I would do the Southern since it has been longer since you have been to the ports although I personally think the prices are ridiculous for that cruise. I was looking at it as an option if our May cruise gets cancelled but really can’t justify the costs. It would cost us an extra $9,000 than...

Making changes to a reservation booked through a travel agent – how to contact DU?? RESOLVED THANKS!

Can you put the room in your basket like you are going to book online? I think that puts a three day hold on the room doesn’t it? We did that because we weren’t 100% sure and then decided a day later we would book and then called DCL and the agent was able to get it released and then reserve it...

    Tortola: The Baths or Snorkeling?

We did a private snorkeling excursion to Norman Island and it was spectacular. I will say based on what I have heard about they baths there will be many less people there than the baths so there’s that to consider. I don’t think you can go wrong with either excursion.

    Restaurant rec MCO - PC

Grills is our favorite! We always fly in a few days before our cruise and stay near the port but our first stop off the plane is Grills for lunch and our last stop before flying home is Grills for breakfast. Plus a stop or two in between. We are already looking forward to our next visit in May!

    Talk to me about Edge

My son liked the Edge. He liked going and playing video games. I really think your son should go the first night as that is when they plan activities for the week and all get to know each other. I would also recommend joining your cruise group on a social media site not to be named. They...

Thinking of cancelling my Iceland cruise

It was sooo easy to get around. We rented a car for the entire trip and the rental car company gave us driving rules and tips like how to handle one lane bridges, etc. before we rolled out of the parking lot. And this was our first time driving outside the US also. We booked a rib boat tour on...

Thinking of cancelling my Iceland cruise

We just did a land-based Iceland trip last month for 10 days. We stayed in 5 different Airbnb’s all around the southern and southeastern side of the island. Having done that there is no way I would want to only visit from a cruise ship for two days. The most amazing scenery we saw was away from...

    So. Can I bring.....?

This is what we have done three times now. We hang it on the hook outside the bathroom. We zip tie ours to a hanger and it works great.

WWYD: Rent/park at port or Rent/get private shuttle

We always rent and park at the port. We usually have a flight out around 1:00 so we leisurely get off the ship and drive to Grills for breakfast before heading to the airport. It’s our favorite restaurant in that area and we eat there multiple times before the cruise as well. This helps us end...

So with "Frozen" show coming to the Fantasy...

Where did you see this? Scott’s blog doesn’t mention that and made it sound permanent. We are sailing in 2020 too and I was super excited. I’m not a fan of Aladdin at all.

Bump-out Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom Fantasy / Dream

Would be to me but I don’t spend my time on my balcony when at Castaway Cay. Plus we like to watch them tying up the ship on the port side when they dock.

Bump-out Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom Fantasy / Dream

We stayed in 12010 last year and are booked in 12510 next May. We LOVED the bump out balcony as we use that space a lot. The extra room was totally noticeable plus we loved having the chairs with the adjustable back. It definitely did not feel claustrophobic or like being in a tunnel at all. I...

    11 year old babysitting?

I agree there is a delay. Maybe the wave phone would be better.

    11 year old babysitting?

I would if the 11 year old is responsible. It's not like your a car ride away if they needed you. Your no more than 5 minutes and if you really needed to get there you could make it in a couple minutes from anywhere on the ship. I would be most comfortable leaving them in the evening when they...

    Newbie Questions

We joined a cruise group on another social network page and they set up pen pals for the kids. My son (11) had three friends he emailed back and forth with for 6 months prior to our cruise and that gave him friends on the cruise the minute we stepped on the ship. It was awesome for him and us!
